Help me decide...Z1 vs Mobius LSV vs Vride!

I drove the Malibu V ride and the Moomba Mobius today. Still need to drive the Tige Z1.

I would appreciate some input from anyone with experience in these boats.
    Here are my Pros/cons:

    Malibu V ride:
    Pros:

    Nice ride thru chop
    Turns on a dime
Steers super easy and tracks straight at low speed
    Swivel cptn chair
    Nice storage
    Led lit inside gunnels
    Awesome tower design
Speedo is digital and adjusts easily with cruise. Holds speed nice.
Cable free throttle...really nice for control
    Quiet and smooth
Lift up strut supported storage door in passenger area
    Good upholstery and stitching

    Warranty??

    Cons:
07 I drove was pretty plain and priced at 42k..seems like 08 would be the same?
Manual wedge...please debate the taps, vs wedge, vs adjustable wake plate. I was told the floating wedge messes up handling when its doin its thing.
    single axle trailer
    Only 4 speakers
    Plastic cup holders
    No racks
Smallish, but not bad interior, seats 10

    08 Mobius LSV

    Pros:
All white w/ blk accent was sweet.
    Spacious interior
Loaded with tower speakers, dual amps, wakeboard prop, hydraulic wakeplate, Gravity 3 ballast for 42k.
Seems to ride well thru chop, tracks well, quiet.
    Nice carpet
    Good storage
Rear seat pulls out for rear facing seating
4 year drive train, 3 year bow to stern warranty..due to show special

    Cons:

Cable throttle system..seemed harder to control speed.??
    Non Swivel cpt chair
Seemed to have more "vibration" initially on acceleration
Front passenger seat access pad squeeks when you lean on it and it opens into cokpit area vs opening up.
Sterring..is it different than the malibu? It seemed like the Malibu was 1 finger steering...??

    Tige Z1

    Pros:
    Sweet looking
Nice area to sit on back of boat to put skis on
    Digital speedo? with dial also?
    Simple cruise...no look
Storage area opens in bow also, uses shocks.
Taps system...trimable...no need for ballast bags
I can get a smokin deal on one...cant say how much but its almost too good to pass up.
Supposed to ride better in chop, and quieter, with hull design and the way the two halves of boat are fiberglassed together???

    Cons:

Seemed tight inside bow a bit, and in main area.
    Semi swivel cpt chair
Seems as if dealers are coming and going
Will they be in business for years like malibu and moomba?

    Havent driven....soooo

    Yamaha 212x...

I dont have enough time..lets say it is out of the running

Haven't drove the Z1 but can comment on a few of the Tige things. As for TAPS and the Convex Hull work as a team to raise the aft of the boat up and down in the water. Ballast systems are not needed but a lot of people do put them in their boats to gain a bigger wake.

The ride of all Tige's seem to be very good in chop and much better than Malibu direct drives, MB B-52's, Supra, and Centurian IMO. There are other members on this boat that can comment of Malibu and Moomba boats that still are members. They just will not leave. j/k

Tige's are also know for their gas mileage being better than the three that you have mentioned even though the boats are heavier. What helps this out is the Convex Hull technology.

My bad, I did not notice it was that old.
But I would not worry about tige being around in the near future

We have a few new Z1 members on here, hopefully they can chime in since they probably just went through all of the things that you are going through right now. I do know that the LSV doesn't ride anywhere close to as good as my RZ2 does in chop because I have been in my buddy's '06 before (same hull?). I don't know about the Z1 though.

              Good luck with your purchase!!!

I have driven the Z1 and think it is the best ride and handiling of your boats mentioned. the wake stock will match up with the bu w/wedge if you add ballast to Z1 it gets even better. I dont really like to bash other brands but i will say i think the wedge is a piss poor design to try and help boat make a wake. yes it works but i have seen to many of them getting tore off the boat and it really makes the boat ill handling IMPO. I have had a handful of customers come in to my shop and tell me "take that P.O.S off of my boat".malibu makes a fine boat but the wedge would be a no go for me to say the least. you are doing the right thing in checking all your options i would drive/ride the Z1 for sure i know you will love it. good luck and make sure you show us your new ride.
PS. the wakesurf on the Z1 is awsome so if you surf you really gona love it!

Ive been already watching video of it...we are getting pumped to try it. I do wakeskate a bit...LOL

Im looking at one that looks just like the black and white one in their brochure/video.

Here is one thread by one of the owners of a Z1. Remember, the water was choppy and he was at TAPS1 from what I recall.

TAPS0 is a smaller wake while TAPS8 is the biggest that it will go.

Handling bar-none goes to tige. The throttle by wire and speedset are great as well as the rough water ride of the convex v hull on the tige. The malibu and moomba are great boats and since neither is a brand new model you might be able to get a great deal on a leftover. I like the looks of the moomba over the malibu, but the looks of the z1 are great. Really decide what you like after driving a z1 for yourself and go with it. No one on this board will beat you up over buying a moomba or malibu and make sure you let us know what you end up with and why, we all seem to be more general boat connoisseurs, of course we do love our tiges.

I agree that the thread is old and that boats have evolved since then for better or worse, but there is one impressive thing about the thread...the president of the Moomba brand, Rick Tinker, responds two or three times which I think is very impressive for a public board.
I like the Tige brand and think it compares favorably to Malibu. At the same time I think Moomba could become the new Tige.
Here is what I would consider:
                          1. Research resale price for the past couple years models
                          2. Talk to people that take their boats to the local dealers and see what the service level is like.
                          3. Read the fine print in the warranty. Trust it makes a difference.
                          4. Weigh the above with the ride and costs.
"Injuries heal, but puss you take to the grave."

That is the one you are looking at? Funny, that was one of the first Z1's made for the Dealers Meeting last year.
