When you fill it up the trans needs to be about 1/8" over the full line on the dip stick also. The angel in which the trans sits in the boat the fill line is not accurate. Yes DEXTRON III is standard. If you do not see oil in the bottom of your boat it probably was never filled correctly or if you had it winterized it is possible they intended to change the oil and forgot to fill it back up. It is a good thing you caught it.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

ATF
we found the problem......a loose hose.....amazing to buy a brand new boat and hoses aren't tight, I guess it's a good thing I married a mechanic...my husband seams to think it's the nondetergent ATF because the fluid that is in it right now is not red....anybody know anything about that??If you're lucky enough to live on the lake, you're lucky enough.

Here's a link to various manuals on the Correct Craft site, some of which apply to components used in Tige's - PCM engines, Velvet drive, Perfect Pass, Teleflex steering cable installation, etc. The Borg Warner Velvet Drive Installation manual has a section on trans fluids on page 11 (Type F and Dexron are good). I download manuals like these (pdfs) for our boat for future reference. Would be nice if Tige added links to their website.

Keep checking all the hose clamps regularly. Some of them can sink your boat.

It's a ZF Hurth Marine........that site is pretty neat, i definitely wish Tige had their manuals downloaded like that, it would've come in handy today.
