cleaning up speaker cans

I noticed last week when I started dewinterizing my boat that my new speakers have spots on them. Can this be cleaned off? I tried waxing them but didn't take it off. My boat is under a carport all the time and is out of the weather. The carport is covered on 3 sides. Do I need special stuff to clean them? CPH- are the can for these speakers alum?

Also there was a thread about rubbing compounds and wax by 3M. I can't find it to see what kinds of rubbing compound and wax to use by 3M?

Go pick you up some Flitz. it does wonders on speaker cans, brushed aluminium, or chrome. Google flitz and you should be able to find some places to buy it. I think boaters world even carries it now. Great stuff.
