          That is why I use the boat buddies tie downs on the transom (ugly rags but no scratches ha)....
          And my Dealer says he never uses them....ouch!

              Bayliners are super light so a tandem axle probably not required unless by law in that state.

                                i dont think tie downs would have helped. the force it took to get that boat up there would have snaped tie downs.not saying they are a bad idea but idont think it would have helped in this case.
