Extend your thoughts and prayers

It is wonderful that Sean is in the thoughts and prayers of his many friends and family.

However; missing in these post are any thoughts, prayers or even mentions of Lorena Rubio Kraemer who was killed by Seans reckless driving while drinking and on drugs.

Lorena also had a large family, many, many friends, and 2 children (Micheal 17 and Jordan 11) and lit up any room she entered. That light is gone on earth forever.

Her parents lost their daughter, Her children lost their mom, and I lost the only woman I ever truly loved.

I dis not know Sean and do wish him a recovery. I realize it was not his intent to end the life of another person, however that is exactly what he did do.

It seems appropriate that Lorena is not overlooked or forgotten here and it is my hope that she is remembered everytime anyone here gets behind the wheel and that everone that does get behind the wheel is sober when they do. You can save your own life, the life of others, your freedom, and a thousand tears from people you will never even know.

I beg to differ, you need to reread this entire post, there are many that expressed this toward this young lady.

Just so you know, a couple of us tigeowners tried to do something for this young woman's kids, Trust Fund/Donation, but were unable to get any help from anyone in the area. A number of calls were placed to the funeral home that did here service, no one ever returned our calls or could give us any info. Phone calls were made to her place of employment and everyone acted as if they didn't know her. We tried contacting people on a motorcycle forum, that she was a member on, who claimed to be her friend, none of them ever responded to our emails.

I have thought of the woman that was with Sean that terrible evening many times. I have had all involved in my thoughts and prayers almost daily as we all have watched the progress of a fellow boater. I know this must be a very difficult site to visit for those that loved and cared for Lorena. We obviously didn't know her, but we are aware there were others involved and we pray and hope for their recovery in coping for their loss as well. As for our encouragement for Sean, he is a friend and we wish him the best as well.

I am one of those people; however, I did not know others did as well.

Attempting to haunt someone will do nothing for yourself nor anyone else going forward.

I strongly suggest getting (or staying with as the case may be) professional assistance and the support you need until you are well and can aptly cope Barry. There was a terrible tradegy and many losses for sure. Sometimes cruel, but always true: Life goes on. If I understand correctly that those are your kids, they need you to be well!!!

1. Wingnut ... Thanks for those kind words ....and I am not in any way knocking anyones encouragement of Sean .... I even posted I wished him a recovery.

Don't worry , I'm not going to post here a bunch and try to "haunt you" (probably just to respond if I need to) ... just thought Lorena should be remembered here and not skipped over. I don't hold any ill toward Sean ...

He was just stupid ....very stupid ...... at a very wrong time .... and I hope someone here learns from it ... and you can't learn when you ignore the consequences of very bad choices like drinking, drugs, driving, and death

about the only one I think everyone should have a problem with would be the guy that was with them and took off after the accident because he was drunk and left Lorena and Sean behind because he was scared. That guy is a coward and not a friend to Sean or Lorena.

The rest were just replies on the lack of progress. I'm sure you will accuse me of making this up, and that's ok, because I have many friends on here that know me personally and would now this is legit. To the best of my knowledge, she worked for a real estate office, we got that from the Obit in the paper but got nothing more. I hope someone did set up a fund of some kind for the kids.

Maybe things got started off on the wrong foot... I thought there was another thread in relation to this incident where we learned as much as was known at the time about Lorena. This thread is mostly one-sided because we didn't know much about Lorena and most of our efforts were concentrated on Sean due to him being a member here but that doesn't mean that anyone had any ill will or wasn't thinking about her or the family, from the outpouring I have seen on this forum there isn't a person on here who didn't send their thoughts to the family.

I honestly feel that I can speak for everyone when I say that we are ALL very sorry for your loss and wish that this day could be taken back and hope that you and the children are doing ok as I am sure this has not been an easy 6 months.

I understand that you may have some frustration with some of the comments on here but I do feel that it was a little unnecessary to say that someone who was trying to give the family money was incompetent. Hopefully these words were purely out of frustration and no harm was meant.

I am glad Sean has friends here to support his recovery and don't want to be the focal point and ruin a good thing for him.

I posted about Lorena because she does seem to be forgotten here and it bothered a friend of hers. I posted her picture to put a face on it and hopefully to discourage others from drinking and driving. She is a part of the storyline on this thread.

I do admit chpthril's Bold Supersize Font post irritated me. I did read this entire thread as he suggested and did not see anything to his claim ...maybe it's on another thread but not here ....

when he also posted that attempts were made to donate to the kids ...... but they just got nowhere .... well why even post that ..To me thats like when someone says "I tried to call you" and no message is left and your call history does not indicate any call ....... What does "I tried to call you" then mean.

I am not seeking money here for the kids .... but if someone wanted to locate someone to see about a donation it would be as simple as opening the phone book and calling either of the 2 listed Kraemers. Incompetence just means lack of ability and seemed to fit.

Why even make claims about an effort which yielded nothing ... If someone really wanted to make a donation it would not be real difficult to do so. We did not ask anyone to make any donation and didn't expect any donations. The only exceptions would be people who volunteered that they were going to "help out financially" and then did not ..... again why even volunteer something if you are not going to follow thru. That kind of thing bothers me

Barry, dude, give chpthril a break. He's one of the most helpful members on this board. None of us are trying to dis anyone here. In all fairness, without a concrete address or contact info, it is a sensitive subject and you really want to be right about it. In situations where someone has passed away, you try to be discrete about gathering your information, you don't try to blindly call and ask, "hey, are you the Kraemers who lost their mom?"

I think if someone had posted an address or an account to donate to, you would have been blown away by the generosity of those on this board.

I'm not picking sides here, but there's probably a lot more to the story here than anyone really knows. What is it that you are really after? Is it really what you want?

I think that he was just trying to have us remember that there was a life lost in this incident, which we all know has been recognized time and time again, especially in the early stages of this thread. We all felt sympathy for her and her family as well as for Sean. Hopefully the ultimate lesson to be learned from all this is to be safe in our driving. I think that Sean's recovery has been miraculous, it would be terrible if something similar happened to someone else from this board and had a different outcome.

Mr. Kraemer, rest assured that we hear you. We certainly feel for you and your loss.

I wasnt going to respond to this but have a very valid point to make regarding the shots taken at Sean. I do not know the exact details of the accident nor do I believe that it is any of my business. My thoughts and prayers have gone out to friends and family of Lorena, which it is nice to put a face with her so I would like to thank Barry for that. The point that I want to make is that everybody makes bad choices in life and it is not fair to Sean for Barry to 'claim' Sean's actions as "stupid" - "very stupid" without acklowledging that Lorena as well made a "stupid" - "very stupid" decision to take part in reckless behavior. She made a choice that night that cost her her life. I always give credit where credit is due and also give blaim where it is due as well. THAT is what I think everyone should learn from this experience. We all need to take responsibility for our own actions and not place ourselves in compromising situations.
