I have a spare that I will ship anytime he needs a laptop for use. It wil run wi-fi or 10base-T. I'll put on latest IE and Navigator since I don't know Seans preference. What if he likes a MAC
Great update SPBFAN. Thanks much and here's to continued recovery.
Keep up the good reports Sean
Guys, I visited with Sean this week. He was pretty sedated but the first thing he did when I walked in the room was raise his arms and hands. He can not talk but he was indicating to me and asking if we had been boarding. The answer was yes of course.
He was alert for a while when visiting then the increased his versed on him and he went to sleep. We visited for about 20 minutes. I am going to go over to his house and get all the gas out of his boat, Fog the engine, and prep it for long term storage. I talked to him about all of you guys. He moved his mouth to talk and I could read his lips. He told me to tell everyone thank you for the support.
He has lost a lot of weight. As if he had any to loose in the first place. He is fighting hard. I told him I needed him to get well so he could drive for me. My wife started to say what am I not a good enough driver for you and Sean started to laugh. It is an on going joke for all of us.
We told him our 15 year old is getting drivers training in a month and will be needing to learn to drive a stick shift soon. We suggested that we use his Corvette for so it does not just sit in the garage. He woke up quick when we said that. That would never happen but it gave us something to try and keep some sort of conversation going. Considering all that he is dealing with he is doing very well. I suspect he will be in ICU for another month or more but he is fighting to get out of there.
His arm his healed and working again. He will have a plate in it for the rest of his life. Now it is just building the strength back up. Most all the bones that broke have healed and are in working order. I am not sure about the pelvis as I have not inquired about that.
All in all he is on the road to recovery. There is a web site for him that is updated daily. You can go and register on it if you would like to. Here is the link for it.
