My wife and I are sending tons of good vibes Doms way. I hope he recovers back to 100% Doms again. This is a pretty scary situation and I'm glad to see everyone on this website acting so kind.

Even if he can not board once he gets well enough we need to get him on a boat with friends just to support him and help him recover. He can at least hold the flag for us and tell us what we are doing wrong. He can give us a few boarding pointers.
NP, I wasn't sure if you thought my comments before were assuming anything bad. I agree, he'd be welcome in my boat anytime.

Its something I believe. No matter what happens, if others (us) ponder what happened, and we become safer in the process, that's a good thing.

SPBFan how is his family and GF holding out?
It has to be a tough road on all of them and I wish them the best too!
        Are you communicating with them?

Dom, I know you will make it, and I know you are thinking about rocking the water with your boat. Keep up those thoughts and you will be back on the water and this site in no time.
Until we see you posting - we are all praying for you to pull thru.

Rag boy, I am thankful you are on the board. Well said with the scripture.

            Romans 8:28
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose".

I just got of the phone with GF. They are holding up OK. He is in a drug induced coma and has many issues he will be recovering from. I can not post the issue right now do to ongoing investigations and the request of the family. But he was in real good shape and I am sure he will recover. I am sure he will never be as Strong as he was but he will pull through. He will have many things change in his life. His Mother, Step Father, and Brother are all here in Bakersfield for support. I expect he will be in the hospital for a month or more. The wife and I will visit with the family on Friday when I return to town from work. One thing is for sure. The helmet and riding gear paid off. He has no detected brain damage right now and is reacting to his mother a little when she visits him. Even if he has physical issue at least one of the most important parts was protected and he mentally will be alert when he comes out of all of this.

That is great news. I just had a fellow co-worker get out of the ICU last week at Oregon Health Science University for a motorcycle accident. He too was wearing all the protective gear, but riding is dangerous no matter the precautions. Last we heard he will have at least 18 months of rehab, ie....he isn't working for a long long time. Like Dom he was only 30 (with five kids) I just pray that Dom has no brain damage. Limbs , bones, and muscle can be repaired or dealt with, but brain damage is a different beast. Thanks for the update SPBFAN. God Speed Dom........

I'm new to the site but still feel horrible for him and his family. I went through a similar incident with my sister. By far the hardest time in my life. It's great to see all the support and prayers he has. I will also be praying for him. God Bless.

From what I gather from your post Andrew is that Sean is being responsive to the presence of his family especially his mom. That is great.

It also sounds like from other updates and this one that Seans brain and mental capacity can recover and is showing positive signs. I would think this will encourage not only him but also the care givers and those who are closely watching for any news on this thread.

This new info should be nothing but positive to all that care and will lead to more positive feedback to Sean with our words and positive prayers to him. As news about Sean gets better The Tigeowners will step up and do whatever they can to help Sean in his physical and mental recoveries in the road to recovery. Amen, Sean the Lord is watching over you as are all your Tige friends and buddies. Praise be the Lord.

Can anyone think of anything creative we can send to the hospital that would show it is from all of us? Maybe some beads or a runner up trophy from last year's stereo competition?

This is terrible news. He is a great person and I'm saddened to hear about his tragic accident. I'm glad to hear his family is by his side and he's getting good medical attention. Those both will be critical in his recovery. Sean is a great friend to all.

I hope and pray for his quick recovery!

That's horrible news. That really sucks. Thank goodness he had a helmet on. On a positive note, last summer I had a friend do a head first slide into a curb after being punted by a car speeding through a red light, he had some touch and go moments in the hospital, but now all is good. He made a wonderful recovery and you'd never know he was involved in a gruesome accident like that. I hope Dom has a speedy recovery and a similar outcome, he seems like a great guy who always had something helpful or nice to say in all his posts/responses.
