It is my understanding that is a private institution and not part of the UC system. The care that Sean will recieve there will be better than almost any care facility on the west coast. The Stanford Medical School ranks in the top 10 in the world.
Sean will be in great hands.

SPB, I assume that you are still going to be in touch with his mom, is that correct?
I will be in touch with his mom on a regular basis. I will post up stuff as I find out. As for now he is critical but stable. Stanford is already finding some things that the other place did not and they are working on those issues as well. The infection seems to be at a stand still it is not getting worse nor better at this point. To me that is a good sign and I hope that means he will soon start to see the infection go away. He has several other obstacles to overcome and I am sure he will pull through them. I am certain he appreciates all of our support and prayers.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

Update !!!!!!
Here is an update from his Mom, Aunt, and Conoco boss.
Good evening,
I saw Sean around 4:00 this afternoon. He was more responsive during this visit than at noon. They had restrained his left arm just enough so he couldn't reach his tubes, lines and other stuff. I held his hand and he gave me several squeezes. They had reduced his Fentanyl to 250 mcg/hr and his Versed to 6 mg/hr. Yes I could see his hazel eyes, but it was hard to see him grimacing. His nurse told us his lung cultures were negative and that's good. (don't know what that means but it's good) While we were in the waiting room this afternoon we saw his flight nurse and visited with him, his flight nurse dropped by to see Sean on Sunday.
Tomorrow's a new day,
Tuesday Evening, May 13th:
Sean did well today. He was able to accept the more substantial nutrition without any adverse affects. He will also being undergoing a treatment that will enable him to begin 'exercising' his lungs. They will be removing the respirator for some time to allow him to breath on his own. This is another good step forward.
Doctors are also considering reducing Sean's sedatives. This isn't for sure and we should know more about this tomorrow.
Family had visited Sean midday. They indicated that he is still very responsive to them and attempts to respond to their voices by opening his eyes. They also said he looked as if he was attempting. to raise his arm.
All three seemed very upbeat today. Sounds like Sean is responding both to the treatments and the women! The next update may be on Thursday AM.
Have a great evening with your family!www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.
