Trouble with Westmar insurance: Any good agencies you can recomend?

Our boat policy is up and we want to shift to a better policy than what AAA offers.

Westmar looks good on paper, but they don't seem interested in writing us a new policy.
They never return calls as promised,, never get back to us in any way.
Not on the phone, not by e mail,, no letter in the snail mail,, nothing,, dead in the water.

If they're like this if we're trying to give them money,, what kinda service will it be if we have a claim?

So time to move on ,,

We've heard Wozencraft has good service and good coverage and good prices.
Any takes?

I know some in FL and the Gulf area have a bad taste for the good hands, but here in NC and SC, they are kicking but and taking names on the boat policy rates, and offer 3 levels of policies with great coverage and very few exclusions.

Find a good Agent in you area and talk to them.

Do you own a house and car? I would try that ins. company first as you would be eligible for a multipolicy discount. I know the guy that owned my boat prior to me buying it paid three times the amount Allstate charged me.

I too have State Farm and am happy with the price and service, btw I have Country Mutual for all my other insurance needs.....so I don't get a "group discount"

I had Ski Safe when I totaled my boat last year and they were great with the response and claims service... I now have West Mar and they have been great so far... I agree with Dave, talk with Dawna (pronounced Donna) and she'll get you taken care of...

I talked to her about a month ago regarding the new boat. She asked me about the old boat and asked how it was running and what I plan to do with it. Very nice person and willing to open the door to communications.

I have all insurance with State Farm for the last 13 years....
And they quoted me $200 more a year than Allstate etc...
Looks like I might be leaving State Farm as well....

Just saw a commercial for Geico marine coverage last night. I have Geico for everything (except the boat!?? they deffered me to SkiSafe) and I love them. They've been super good to work with on all my other policies.


Not only that, but it's so easy a Caveman could do it

I've been with Westmar since the beginning. I got a quote from Allstate last time that was a little cheaper, but not enough to switch. Others have also liked Progressive.
