I am looking the info up for you right now. I am in total agreeance with CHP. You need a Scope to test the Crank Sesor. I have the schematics here I think give me a while to check into it.

YES CHP we have COP systems on the PCM's.

If I can find a sensor locally I am just going to change it out. They are about $80 bucks though. I have a scope at work but not very portable.

Ok there is a problem I just thought of, is it a Magnetic Sensor, Low Resolutions Sensor, or a High Resolutions Sensor. PCM does not say in there manual and they do not give wiring diagrams. Since you have a green wire That is your 12V REFERENCE SIGNAL WIRE. Your time division on you scope should be 10ms. You should see a nice square wave type pattern I can send you a print of the know good wave form if you need it. I will probably have to fax it to you though. Call me if you have any questions and I will try to walk you through it.

ok update first of HUGE Thanks to SPBFAN for all his help and getting me a new crankshaft sensor when no one else could. I was going to hook scope on it to test the sensor and power to it. When I unplugged the switch there was antifreeze in the plug so now I am on my way to get some contact cleaner and dry it out to see if I have just shorted the switch? I'll let you know in minute

Antifreeze??? I would have not been surprised if you said oil, but antifreeze has me stumped. I would really like to know where that came from.

                        2 things
                        1) I overheated last fall due to bad impeller

                        2) I filled the raw water side with antifreeze last winter, must ahve spilled a bit

Sounds like another safe return to the boating season. However, when is that person coming over to look at your boat????

Coolant is conductive, so if it got down into the sensor, it could be shot.
