Ok obviously I need to have power the sensor when testing but can I unplug the the output wire and hook it right to the scope or do I need to leave hooked up to the ign module and find a way to tap into it?
Did not have time to set up scope today was to busy building a sand box for the girls

Kona to answer your question. You have to test the sensor with it hooked up. You should have some out there to help you crank the engine so you can verify. I am pretty sure your sensor is toast. If you are not getting fuel control and or spark that is one of the sensors that control those items. The crank is also the main sensor control.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

Ok update time again. Hooked the scope up and of course boat started right up good signal coming from the crank sensor. seemed a bit erratic at times but the engine was running smooth. I wish It would just stay broke then I could figure it out. I Let run for almost 2 hrs and not even a hick up. Now Im back to thinking that I did not get the connection dryed out from the other day. Time to take it to the lake and really run it. The new sensor is still on the way and I will still replace it (probably)? Rotten luck eh

Kona if you did not have solid wave pattern there is somthing wrong with the sensor. It is possible you were getting a little noise from other systems on the engine though through the scope.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

I still plan on changing it out. I guess it was more fuzzy than anything else tryed to tune it but but no much luck. I coul see where it would fall off sometime but it still hard to dial in a good pattern
Thanks SPB
