I put a check valve in the front and it sucks the front sac empty. The rear could use them, but it is easy to check the sacs. I may put them in in the future also. Since I ran out of hose, I may wait until I get another roll to clean things up. Glad tp hear your system worked as you hoped it would.

I originally got the swing check valves, but I had to order them. Nobody had them on the shelf. When I found one was split, I went to Ace and got a couple of the diaphram checks. Put one in the vent on the front and the other on the drain for the front. They worked fine in both locations.

The concern was that the diaphram type would take more pressure to open, but the pumps pushed/pulled the water thru as well as the swing checks. The diaphram checks were actually a little smaller in size also.

This time when I installed the barbed fittings, I didn't tighten the fittings quite so far. This may have been the cause of the split, or it was just bad from the factory.

Anyway, your WAVE looks great. I surfed behind ours this past weekend and should get pictures from the daughter soon.

I found those same check valves at a local pluming supply. I need to trade some of the very hard white hose for a more flexible one. The only leak I had was because the clamp could not clamp enough the hardness of the hose. I need to replace that connection.

The outside temp was perfect 72 degree, but the water temp was about 63 degrees... Still a little nippy for me without a thick web suit or dry suit.

I am planning to get in the water for the first time this next weekend to make sure all is working before a little trip to Powell next week.

Try a little plumbers putty first. You may be able to seal it enough to make what you have work.

The ballast puppy pumps are a little smaller than 1" and the hose fit in a little loose. Since the hose is so hard no matter what I did I still got water leaking out.

Saturday the air temp was 68 and the water was 69. No wet suits, just sweatshirts when we got out. Water and air warmed up on Sunday and Monday-then it was crowded. We were on the water about 8:00 on Monday for a round of glass for each of us.

Let me know if you want to use some of the hose that I used. A 50' roll is 63.00 delivered and I only need about 10 feet. We could split a roll if you want to use this hose. Shipping to you would be another 7.00 so 35.00 for 25'. Very flexible and easy to push on. Let me know. TD

That's where I got my hose. I bought the clear plastic with the wire mesh in it. It works really well, except for the last 4-5' on the roll where it got flattened. It's a PITA to get that round again. But, it won't collapse under pressure.

Nice wave EKS. And that looks like it is mud lake. Just wait until you get to a lake that actually has some depth to it and the hull of the boat can go to work. You will be very happy with the wave.

I can tell you the Home Depot hose is larger than it says. Especially the all white hose. I bought the 1.5 inch inside diameter there and it was larger than the barb and would not tighten down. Went to west marine and bought 1.5 inch white hose and had to use the heat gun to get it over the barb. Difference mightbe the hose at home depot says spa hose and west marine it is bilge hose
