IMO, you are going to have the same problem of the bag being emptied if you use the same hole in the hull for your intake and outtake. I would take the outtake hole and put it up near the rubrails.

He is missing power from the battery to the breaker box and yes a lot of other things were inop. We did not have a DVOM with us or even a test lite. My guess is that one of the 60amp fuses at the battery is blown. You are only as good as the tools you own and if you know how to use them.
