Have you ever wanted to spend a week on a lake powell houseboat with out the huge expense of renting or the stress of not knowing how it all works?
I own a prime week on a private houseboat on Powell first week of June when the temps are just right... not too hot and the nights are still cool. The best thing is this year the lake is expected to rise 50' or more and the castle rock shortcut is expected to be open around that time.
Most of the friends and family that I usually share this with will not fully commit to the trip for one reason or another this year be it work, financial difficulties or freaked out about gas prices!
So I am open to offers to spend this week with exceptional families, couples or individuals to share the expenses and the experience! Why take this route you ask... well I have a vested interest for one thing. I cant personally sell my stake to just anyone for obvios reasons and I like going to powell every year!
If you find that this is your thing and you want to buy into it one way or the other, this experience will go a long way.
This is a fully equiped average size and age houseboat in good condition, no it is not the biggest or fanciest so no need to be all nervous about using it for what it is intended for! It is about 70x16 and it has a slide, toy fuel tanks, pwc hoist, two fridges, chest freezer, trash compactor, twin v-8 volvo drive, charting gps, upper controls, A/C, generator, inverter, TV, a cool infared grill and what not.
It is most comfortable with about 8 to 10 people and the max is 16, but remember it is a whole week and you had all better get along real well! A limited number of kids are OK but toddlers, babies and doggies might be hard to handle.
I will be leaving my tige in the garage, being responsible for this boat is plenty. It would be best if two boats attend and pwc's are a plus. I may be able to bring a supercharged 215hp seadoo rxp if need be.
I fit into the 35-45 domographic and I am easy to get along with and can roll with almost any situation. I have 20 years of boat ownership experience and can teach or ride anything behind a boat including air chair. So if you want to learn how to foil, a week is plenty of time to give everyone that wants to learn the basics and have them riding.
PM me with detailed proposals for how you would expect it to work out as far as those you like to attend and their ages, boat(s) and what you would expect to be able to contribute toward expenses. I need to at least have my annual fees and expenses covered!
The more details you can give the easier it would be for me to select the right people! Please save the twenty questions untill I narrow it down a bit and then I will be happy to answer them and tell you all you would need to know to make it a great trip for everybody!
Thanks,
Ray
