Growing up, in the '80's, we had several mastercrafts and they were all great ski boats for exactly that, skiing. My wife and I bought a searay new in 2004 and it was an excellent i/o. Great build quality and great resale, which was good since we only had it 1.5 years. Then we bought the Tige. I have two friends with Chris Crafts, both around 2000 model year, and they are built incredibly well. One has a tower and with some weight and perfect pass it makes a darn good wakeboard boat. A friend of a friend has a centurion and it is nice, but definitely not built for the saltwater. Given that Tige does not market their boats as a "saltwater series", mine has done great with 300 hours on it now in the salt 99% of the time. I've seen other tiges, malibus, mc's, and nautiques in the salt and the only two that seem to hold up well are mc and tige.

I grew up on a 1986 19ft. Imperial I/O that we bought from Reeds marine who is now a Tige dealer
That boat lasted about 5-6 years and we had some issues with it so we traded it in on a 24ft. Wellcraft Scarab with the 454 in it... That boat would go about 70 with just me in it... I loved that boat. We also bought that boat from Reeds. Spent about 12 years without a boat and then I bought my Tige.http://www.linkedin.com/in/zachgarcia

First boat bought in 2003. 1995 Ski Centurion 20' Falcon. Excellent ski boat, handled like my BMW (turns like a go cart) really fun boat, the upholstery seemed to be in better shape than my new Tige is now! Down side of the
Centurion was very, very low free board and very flat bottom. Did not do well at all in rough or even semi rough water. Also, me, wife & 3 boys and their g/f's, no tower = no room.
Traded it in after first year,,,, went to boat show to look at bling for it and came home, went back next day and ordered our 2005 22i.

My first boat was a 1996 Gekko GTS 20. She was sleek and low profile. Had great wakes just no room for anyone else but the driver and spotter.

1975 16 foot sangster with a outboard 85 horse. Now we have a 07 20v. They both had the same pulling power ------Not. I dont drag half the lake anymore before getting up. Its dissapointed to the people there as I used to pick up lost items off the lake floor while dragging the lake in the Sangster.

1973 Tahiti Jet with 455 Olds (fun boat)
1990 Ski Brendella (best wake I have ever ski'd behind)
1999 Tige 21i (great all around boat)
2003 Tige 22ir (better all around boat)
2007 Tige 22ve (best boat I have owned period)
I think I am done for a while with boats. If I buy another boat, it will a hot rod. 70-75 Sanger Flatty just for kicks. I have always loved the Sanger
Flattys.

While growing up:
Dad had:
-1974 Metal fishing boat
-in 1983 had a 1970 Yellow outboard
-1983 Cimarron (16 ft I/O)
-1986 Sylvan (17 ft I/O)
-1988 Beachcraft (20 ft cabin cruser - bulldozer - pulled 5 slalom skiers at Lake Powel, but had a nasty wake)
-1990 Four Winns Liberator (21 ft)
In 1989 I bought a 1980 Baja 16 ft, with 140 HP outboard, later bacame the down payment on my first house.
In August of 2006 we bought a 19 ft Blue Water (190 HP I/O - 1995, but had only 104 hours on it), used it last season, and just bought our:
2004 Tige Switch V (335 HP, and hasn't been on the water since we bought it, but spring is coming....)

I had a 1990 Maxum that I bought new and sold 9 years later for 1/2 what I paid for it. It was a 20' sport cuddy with a V6 Mercruiser. It was a great boat before and after our kids were born. I learned to ski and wakeboard behind that boatCursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

Growing up my dad bought two different bayliners and they served there purpose we had a lot of fun. But I would never buy one. I absolutely love my 24ve. Once I find something I like it will be very hard to get me to try something different in the future. I love the versatility with my boat. Me and some of my friends love to ski, my wife loves to wake board, and we all love to surf.
