    New season...

    I was just curious,

Anyone around the lakes in Texas (Lewisville, Cedar Creek, Ray Roberts, or Ray Hubbard), when are you planning on taking your boats back out and start riding again?

New season? it's still riding weather. It should be even better down there. What lake is a good lake to go down there? i've heard there are a lake or two to stay away from, too much underwater stuff.

David, I will probably start sometime around middle to late March, that is with a wetsuit of course. A lot of guys are still riding but I am not down with the cold water!

I've actually got a demo on a 24V today. However, I don't think we will be doing any boarding as it is about 25mph wind out there. We should get a good test on how solid the 24V is!!

I rode Sunday on Lake Stillhouse (Central TX). The water temp was about 50F; I was in a 5ml wetsuit and was fairly miserable on deep-water starts. I think the trip was more about bragging rights than enjoyment. Wx was nice though, 73F and clear. I'd be happy with about 10 more degrees water temp; maybe by the beginning of March. I think Belton and Stillhouse stay a little warmer than Travis and Austin year-round (Lampasas River vs Colorado River)

I wish it was 50 degree water temp in OK. I could wear my wetsuit then. Oh well, the drysuit is nice, but I still sweat in it. I guess I need to take off some of the layers. Like before, if anyone wants to go this weekend in N. Texas. or S. OK. Let me know. I'll bring the boat

The water temp on Lewisville is about 52. Many of the riders out here say that as long as the combined air/water temp is over 100, then it is okay to ride. Still a little cold for me!
