Can you have too many racks on a tower?

Two racks came in last week and I was able to mount them on the E-Tower this weekend. 1 waterski rack and 1 wakesurf rack (now I need to purchase a wakesurf board). They really mounted nice, and should work nicely.

I have e-mails back to Monster Tower for info. A couple of small problems trying to get resolved:

    1. None of the univeral sleeves that came with the delivery worked. (They come in two identical halves at varying sizes to fit most towers). On the E-tower: The mount ended up being either too loose or would not fit. I solved by using two of different sizes for each of the halves - seems to work for now. Will see once I get out on the water, with boards.

    2. I could not tighten the wakesurf rack "forks" down enough to keep from wobbling slightly on the tube. It's not very much, but noticable.

    Anyone experience these problems?

Will get pics next time out.

Where did you mount them on the tower?

Tried two spots, settled on location #2 in picture. Location #1 forced the rack to angle out too far.

Thank you for the info. I am going to hang a ski rack and did not want to pull down one of the wake racks.

Does the ski rack have a quick disconnect, When the tower is folded it looks like that rack may interfere with the boat. On the lakes that I go to I need to lower tower at two bridges to get from big play lake and sandbar to smaller ski lake. (Lake Syracuse & Lake Wawasee Indiana). Also need to drop tower to fit in garage.

The monster racks all have quick disconnects. I really like the tower mounted mirror as well because it has disconnects.

BTW, you can order wall mounts for the monster racks so they will quick connect to the wall. I bought 6 of these and will probably get a couple more. They're awesome!

Monster Tower Mount - Nylon Collars

Friendly caution - from experience. Do not over-tighten the clamps or the nylon collars/bushings will split/crack.

I've found that a piece of double sided tape between the tower and the nylon collars, and then between the collar and the rack clamp creates enough surface tension that you don't have over-tighten the clamp and risk splitting/cracking the collars.

When I needed a new set, Monster shipped them right away - and included a bunch of foam can sleeves... So I guess not such a bad thing after all...

What were the foam can sleeves? Sounds like I need some of those. And thanks for the tip on tightening.

Just Foam Beer Can sleeves - they say 'Monster Tower' on one side and 'Phatter, Stiffer, Stronger' on the other. I could use some more, too... they somehow seem to walk off...

I am thinking about buying this adapter to put on my board rack. It would fit a surfboard or a kneeboard

Has anyone installed one of these?

A local dealer, but you can also find it online (Click Here)

I was wondering if it would fit in my rack.

... went with some double sided tape as well.
