    Crowley Lake?

We may be spending a long weekend in Mammoth this August. Thinking of bringing the boat for some time on Crowley. Is it worth it?

I'm wondering about water temps, whether we'll find any decent water for skiing/boarding, do they have overnight slips, etc.? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I have driven by it a few times, it seems like a shallow hole, and not much scenery either. At 7000 ft, boat prob. won't be too peppy either.

I have fished there in the summer, years ago, and the water was cool as in the low 60s. I don't remember seeing anyone getting pulled around. Just alot of people fishing.

Crowley is a big fishing spot because the altitude keeps the water cool year round. I don't know what the late summer water temps are there but i've been at similar sierra lakes at that altitude and the water was freaking cold, like you turn blue cold!
