A pressure switch like the on you shower pump. run it through a holding circuit for start up. once the pressure drops pump turns off simple

That is a good Idea. Do you know how much those cost?

I could also create a circuit here at work to measure the current through the pumps and when there is a drop it would trigger the switch to turn the pumps off.

If we have enough guys it would be very cheap, it cost almost the same to do one or 200 circuit boards.

$20 0r 30 for the press switch and the timer relay should not be much more. I would have to look and see what is available, The timeing relay may be the most. But all it has to do hold long enough to be head pressure and close the switch couple of secs max

That's not bad. I wonder what Andrew and G are planning on their install.

The only thing I wonder with those press switch is if they will handle the pressure and volume of these ballast puppies.

I think they were meant to control press for around 3 gpm.

How about this an integrated LCD display on the dash for your pumps and levels it can also run your audio and video

True but I am sure you find something to handle more pressure maybe even a level sensor?

To be honest I'm not too concerned with the draining. The pumps can run dry for 15-20 min I will just turn off the pumps after 3-4 min I should be good. If all fails just look at the bags.

The Jabsco pumps already have a built in switch that turn off when there is no water. Trust me... we've used it many of times
