These pumps are capable of 50 gallons of water in four minutes. 8.5 X 50 = 425 lbs of water. By the time you stop get your boards down put on your board on and get in the water the sacs will be full or close to it. And in reverse the same thing for emptying the sacs. 3 to four minutes max and with the sacs G has I would guess about 2 or 3 minutes and he will be ready to go. We put a vent port on each sac because I was told if we did not these pumps will rupture the sacs in no time.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

One question on emptying the sacks, how do you know when to turn off the pump off when emptying the sacks since you never see that the pump stopped pumping water out?
Does it have a automatic off when it runs out of water? The laughter of the world is merely loneliness pathetically trying to reassure itself. - Neal A. Maxwell

Not having to fill each sac individually with one pump over the side......

Backwards Scoop?
I assume that you already had the scoop and just wanted to be sure to use it? The mushroom through hull I have works fine, and I suspect it is significantly less costly than a full scoop.
BTW, I have an extra 1 7/8 inch scoop through hull if anyone wants it. It is the same one in my ballast install thread.
So the ballast puppies can suck water in from a port on the top of the sack right? So you do not need to have but a vent and a fill line on the sacks, correct?
Aren't there some reliability issues with the ballast puppies?Be excellent to one another.
