Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Some more also look what I found with his V-Drive when I took the engine and trans cover off the boat. If you have a Walter V-Drive a big blue box check the bolts every year. I found two of the four bolts in the bottom of the boat. I can't find one it is missing in action and the other was well you can see for yourself in the pick. I bet this would have put a good size whole in the bottom of the boat to add ballast if the last bolt would have fallen out last year at the cold water reunion.

SCARY.

WOW, It was a blessing to install the ballast now and to be able to find this issue.
I can't imagine what it would happen if all the bolts came loose. Good eye Andrew!
The reason he checked it was because he had the same issue on his 24v.
I wonder how many boats have this problem...

I cannot tell exactly what bolts you are referring to. I think many of us had the bolts on the shaft that were too short, but this looks different. That looks like it is the main mounting bolts on the V-drive, right? Maybe if you drew a red line with an arrow on the first or second pics I could tell where it is at. Sorry to be blind.
