are you talking about the cover for the boat?
If so, what Poles are you talking about?

my cover came with 2 poles with straps on them. I guess to keep any sag out to keep water from setting.

Mine did not, I use a peice of 3"pvc cut about 4 feet, I stand it up just before the bench to keep a sage out of the cover during the winter.
I also installed a vent on the cover to keep the air flowing. (just in front of the windsheild)
( this will help keep the inside from growing mildew)

This is how the 22's and 24's work this way, but not 100% on the 20V

The short pole (in the bow) with the white straps and buckles should loop around the bow handrail, and the tall pole (in main cabin) with the black straps should loop around the rear cleats.

seems like something close to what i was doing. I dont use the one in the bow. the cover seems tight enough in the bow area, the water always seems to run off and not settle...

You should be fine towing with the poles up, I would lay a towel over the top of the pole, other wise after a winter or two being plied with snow, you'll end up with a wear spot in the cover.

No dont tow with the poles up, I would advise not towing with the cover at all. I have towed my boat long distances and I have learned its better to let it get dirty and tow without the cover on, because with the cover on, it just scratches the boat all over the place. If you have to tow with a cover do it without the poles

I would close your windshield before attaching the straps to the bow area.

I try to avoid towing with the cover on.

How about towing with the bow and cockpit covers vs the mooring cover?

I have a bow cover and a cockpit cover similar to what my last boat had and I towed probably 7500+ miles over 13 years with that style of cover. Any issues with a Tige and those covers. Both front and back have vents with 1 pole for front and 1 pole for back. Typical one way vacation trip 700 miles+ one way. Typical weekend 70-170 miles one way.

Covers are not good for prolonged outside storage but good for covered docking and trailing IMHO. For prolonged storage bow and cockpit covers leave to much of the deck exposed.

I will see what happens when I tow boaat home from dealer. IMO they should be okay for long trips.

^^^ That sounds like it was dealer done, may want to ask them.

I've towed 2 long distance trips (300 miles round trip) with my factory cover with no issues. If in doubt, tow with out.
