I like the built in ice chest in the front. I like how he says that he has ridden behind 90 K pro boats and prefers the Chap. Don't get me wrong nice looking boat, but I will keep my 01 2100 V. I can also hold more people that that 22 footer. Again nice looking boat. But not for me.

They are still a I/O boat with a bigger swim platform. I would not surf on that boat. But very nice put together.

Base price for one of these puppies is 66 grand. To load one up with every option you can get is 74 thousand! Just as bad as a "real" 22 foot ski boat!!!!!!

Chaparrall makes nice boats. They will have a market for these. I had a Chaparrall for 15 years and my brother had one for 8. We have great things to say about them, but they are not a true wake or ski boats. But as for a cross over familyfun and do it all boat they have something that others will be copying. I hope they don't market it as a surfable boat, the i/o's are going to ruin it for the rest of us. Some will be okay with huge swim decks, but then people will think it's okay with small swim decks and end up getting hurt. That being said I think you will see them selling very well.

Chaparrall makes a very well built boat. I almost bought one a few years ago when I had an itch to sell my FourWinns and upgrade to a more deluxe Boat. With the right motor they move out well and have a great top end. But no matter how big they make the platform they are still an I/O with I/O handling, I/O wake and I/O guzzling of fuel. As Original Wing Nut has stated they will sell boats but not to the same market that Tige and the other inboard manufacturers serve.

It does have a monster wake. It is a feature of the porta potti and the wet bar

The platform looks like the same size they put on their other boats and if you look at the I/O trimmed up look at where the prop is. Definetly not safe for surfing IMO. If they state that it is very unsafe

i am sure that these boats are good, but i think it is simply wrong for I/O companies to sell their boats anywhere near the market tiges, MC etc are in. They trick ignorant people into thinking that their boats are good for watersports and in teh same league as manufacturers that build their boats specifically for that purpose. IMHO they should stop!!

Here's some Pix I pulled from their site... It's called the "Sunesta XTREME!" which is hilarious to me... Don't forget the exclamation point... I LOL every time I see the name...

There's a 22 and 24 ft. version... Not a bad looking boat IMO but the I/O is why I would never buy one... Nice to see the Wetsounds on there... At least there aren't any surfboards on the racks... Anyone know anything about the pricing?

One thing I have noticed over the last several years is now I/O's include the swim platfom in the length. These boats are really a 20 and/or 22 footers. They argue that since that platform is attached it is part of the length.

                              Chaps

The Extremes I saw at the boat shows were priced at $66,998 for the 244 & $63,498 for the 224. I thought they were really good looking but that is higher than some real wakeboarding boats with V drives. Their DVD's are really attacking the V-Drive market, I'm interested in seeing how they fare this year with the Xtreme boats.
