    Looking for a Tower

I looking for a tower for my 1998 Pre 2200I WT. I looked at alot of different towers and saw ones I liked but they are so expensive!! Does anyone have the Monster MT2 tower on their boat or heard any thing about them? They seem like a good product at a good price. Also what is the going rate to install a tower or is it easy to do yourself? Thanks!!!

It cost me about $300 to get my Monster tower installed. It's relatively straight forward (you drill 4 holes in your deck). Monster Tower has lots of experience with Tige boats and they have outstanding customer service. They stand behind their products!

I really like my Monster tower. I really would like to upgrade my tower to the M2 because it's taller and I'd hit me head less on my speakers.

Do you think that the fiberglass is thick enough on my boat?

yes there should be a backing plate to put under where it mounts - Ask dog if it does for sure

              Monster all the way.

If you are semi handy and have a drill, you can do it yourself.

They have great instructions and will tell you based on the thickness of the hull if you need a backing plate or not.
              Be excellent to one another.

Oh yeah! Tige does not skimp on hull or deck construction. Furthermore, the heim joints on the Monster tower will reduce some of the stress without making your tower wobble. As yllw20 said, there's a backing plate.

                I'd go with the M2.

As tall said, it's a snap to install. The only reason I had the dealer do mine was that I had had a telescopic pylon and needed to get the holes left by the harness connection points filled in so I could mount the tower. Also, I had them add PerfectPass at the same time.

Buy Monster, do it yourself. Go with the M2. I wish I could.

Those other tower like Samson,Roswell,Air Boom Etc cost $2000-3500. I do not want to bust the bank. I just looking for one that cost around $1500. I still need to buy board racks!!

I've got a Monster also. I didn't install it, but I did replace the top section when 1 of the welds cracked. Pretty simple I thought, although another person would have been helpful. Good thing I had been hitting the gym

I had a monster tower on my old boat. Was a good tower. Very easy to install too.

It'll look taller than mine. I'll tell you what, why don't you have them ship it to me and I'll take a picture of it on my boat. It'll only take a couple of minutes for me to put it on.

BTW, don't be fooled by the pictures on the Monster Tower site. Those lovely accessories don't come with the boat. I fall for that one every time
