We won't take any breaks and no lunch or sleep. Assume the 35 acres is a uniform 12" thick.

    1 acre = 43 560 square foot
    35 acres = 1,524,600 sf
762,300 sf is each persons portion

It will only take 127,050 hours to thaw the lake!! Or 5293.75 days, or 220.57 days, or 7.352 months. That puts us around early November to finish--at which time it will begin freezing anew.

    I better get started......
I agree, start this season to have rack in the benefits for the next boating season.

Now that is a proactive approach to things.

I vote this as the best idea. Forget this season, work on next

Watching someone using their boat always helps. It'll remind me of better days to come.

Someone has a lot more free time at work than I do. I'll take your word for the math. It's well beyond my brain power. Thanks for the idea!

          There is a simple equation.

If the water temperature and the air temperature add up to 100* or above then you go skiing.

You're going to need to if some of the things about global cooling are true.

This makes you appreciate what has been created for us to use by a higher power. He will unthaw the lake in what two weeks when it is time.

It is a good thing I live in California. Global warming that just means we get more time to put CO in the air while I ski or board and Global freezing well that just means I will have to put a coat on in the winter under the dry suit to keep on putting more CO in the air while I ski. J/K

I would say over the last 20 years the emissions controls have gotten way better and there is more issues to all of this than any of us really know or think. It is not just cars and boats that are the problem. In fact airplanes are a problem I am sure along with many other things.

Maybe we get everyone in the USA to start and idle there cars for a day the co2 emissions will then cause a huge jump in temps. Then if we can focus all this energy to your lake problem solved.

Hey we might get into the 60's again today. The problem is it drops below 32 at night. Ya gotta love the Midwest. A diverse climate, 4 real seasons a year, grass that actually turns green verses rocks for a front yard, 85 degree norm in the summer verses frying eggs on the pavement, no desert for many miles. It's great here in the Midwest. Unfortunately spring ends in May and Fall hits in late September. But again we gots green grass

I have green grass all summer in my front yard with sprinklers running. Then at the end of summer the whole state catches on fire and the guys that say don't cut down a tree get there houses all burned up.
