For you Denver guys who use Sloan's lake - Please help

I called Sloan's lake today to find out when they open for the year, and couldn't reach -anyone, so I ended up calling the Denver Aquatics office at 303-458-4795. I found out that the parking lot is gone, due to some construction, and they may not open the lake for boaters until mid-late June. (ARGH!!!!).

One of their workarounds would be a metal ramp that they can bring in, and we would have to drive on the grass (which would be a good work around), but they haven't decided yet what they are going to do. They may wait till the construction is done.

So, please, if you live in Denver and use sloan's lake, please call them and ask them to go with the work around. I can't imagine waiting till late June for some smooth/safe (dirty) water.

I got a pass for Sloan's Lake one year (first year I had by 99 Tige 21i).
I thought it was a cool idea. After my families first visit there we
were driving home in the truck. My wife asked, "what smells so
bad"........we looked around and realized it was "us". Spent $125
and only went there one time. That's street/gutter run off water
with all the dirt and grime that you are skiing/riding on. Nasty stuff.

Sorry to hear they are tearing up the parking lot but it is probably
a blessing.

Drove by Sloans yesterday and the parking lot is one big mess. It does not look like it will be done until mid-summer.

That's what they said last week. They are thinking about bringing in a metal boat ramp, and using the grass as a parking lot.

bsnook212 - if you use sloan's, please call them, and ask them to do this. I already gave them my feedback.

If they don't do this, we won't have a lake till mid-late June. :-(
