    boat buddy

Does anyone have one of these on your boat? What is you opinion and is it worth it. I have a 21i, would I need the large one? Here is a link to what I am looking at. The reviews look mixed.

    Thanks

I know someone with a supra with that.
Its great, you set the pin and the driver drives the boat up it clicks and you pull away.

The problem is if you jam the boat on there at full throttle the pin and other mechanics get bent, so its best to be gentle.

The larger one would be better becuase tiges are bigger boats.

I've got it on my boat. It's great if you use it right. Mae sure that your bow eye will handle it. I had to put a longer bow eye on mine. The original didn't stick out enough from the hull to latch properly.
Indecision may or may not be my problem

I saw my Bug's boat come off the trailer on the ramp because the pin was bent and didn't lock the right way. Luckly no damage to the boat and he was able to get it back on the trailer with out too much hassle. The pin tends to bend too easily and can be hit or miss.

Thanks for the response. That seems to be the issue from the reviews w/ that system. Just thought I would asked.

We have it on the families Mastercraft and it works well if set up correctly and you don't hit it with too much speed.

It comes in very handy for single person retrieves but again it needs to be setup right with a bow eye that fits etc.

We have not bent the pin on the 1999 Maristar Support my BIL has.
