    Hey gays,

I'll bet that someone from Tige has either seen this thread, or has already seen the test data from Boattest.com and is looking into why their numbers differ so much from the other Tiges.

I don't think anyone needs to get too worked up right now, let's just give it some time and see what shakes out.

This is very unscientific, but as a group we had a chance to drive the Z1 and the VRide last december. Same conditions and same amount of time on the water. Over 4 hours of constant running. The VRide had less than 1/4 tank left and the Z1 had over 1/2 left. The Z1 carries 3 more gallons of fuel and both tanks were full when we started. Like I said, very unscientific, but I was pretty impressed with the fuel consumption.
Indecision may or may not be my problem

          What is a Vride?
the Tige gas gage suck. LOL
So i would want to know how much gas was put back into each boat.
Tige, it's a way of life!

Malibu V Ride. Size and layout wise it's a comparable boat to the Z1. No where near as nice in handling etc. Both boats started w/ a full tank. I wasn't there when they refilled them so I don't know how much gas was actually burned. All gas gauges suck.

I've got it on good authority that the fuel test was done over. This time the numbers are a lot closer to the 20 V.

              RPM GPH MPH
              2000 3.68 10
              2500 4.78 18
              3000 6.28 27
              3500 8.83 32

Does anyone know if the RZ2 test is wrong as well?

                  The 22Ve:
                  RPM MPH Knots Total GPH
                  3500 32.1 27.9 8.7

                  The RZ2:
                  RPM MPH Knots Total GPH
                  3000 25.3 22.0 11.9

What a coincidence, I just had a good feeling someone from Tige would look into this and set it straight Thanks for the update, mcd.

Glad the weather was nice for the guys in R&D this morning

Have it on good authority that something was out of place with the consumption specs. Was told an actual Z1 actually only uses 4 - 5% more in the 2.5 to 3.0K rpm range.

Getting the Z1. U only live once! ZZZZooomm!!!!

Ooops - still have the ice on the lake problem right now!

Tige. They retested once they became aware of the original figures.

Are you saying that MCD works for the Tige factory?

I thought the factory was in Texas, not Michigan

No, I don't know who he works for or what, if any, association he has with Tige. He'll have to answer that.

I knew the boat was being retested yesterday morning, weather permit. I hope to have some detailed info later.
