Congrats, I believe you will love the boat Post up a pic from the "build your Tige" and a list of options
Personally, I dont see anything about this hull that would lead me to believe this boat will consume more fuel then any other Tige. Those readings are either skewed due to the extremely rough conditions of the water test, or a fault with the test equipment/operator.

Okay - but the problem is that on any nice weekend the lake has chop from boat traffic! Even if those figures are skewed - subtract 25% - 8 gph to say 10 mph steady is $30/hr to operate it X 6hrs on a weekend.
What about 10 mph pulling a tube - ? Or faster for wakeboard.
Still looking for a Z1 owner. Willing to pay him/her to top the tank - run moderate for a 1 hr and retop to check usage.
Any takers??????
FYI - was going black deck/hull/platform with red panel.
Buffman - Spec'd out a 20V pretty close to the Z1. Only about a $2,800 difference. Reports say at about 21 mph you're burnin 4.6 gph of fuel. Sounds about right from what friends say.
If the Z1 burns 10 or 15% more I'd say it's worth it!

10-15% could add up to a hell of a lot of money at the end of the year if you're riding a lot. For just an extra foot I'm not sure I'd agree. That's just my opinion though. I don't make as much as some of the fine folks here do so that figures into my personal thoughts. I didn't really think the Z1 felt much roomier than my 20V--a little bit, but not much.
