    E tower measurement help

Could someone get me a measurement from the E-tower. I'm looking for the measurement between the tubing where it starts to make it's arch on the arch closest to the stern of the boat.

Also does any one know approximately how much lower the front arch is compared to the rear arch?

not sure exactly what measurements youre talking about, but I actually ran out to my shop and took a couple measurements. the front arch sits approx. 2" lower than the rear. and the gap between the two dead center is 22". hope this helps. just curious, what are you working on?

I'm trying to rig up something to allow a pair of 485's to work on the E-tower. Currently the tower is to arched to allow them to work properly.

      I've decided on two options.

      1. I'm gonna weld up a straight cross bar on the tallest arch (the one closest to the stern) to attach a pair of 485's to.

      2. Or I was gonna weld a "I" bracket between the two arches w/ the center bar being straight across.

I'm leaning towards #1, due to the two bars being different heights. I don't have the E tower on my 24V and this is for the new boat. I'm just checking to see if there is enough room to fit them.

If you could get me the measurement on the tallest bar, between the port and starboard leg, where the radius starts, I would appreciate it.

Tige did something for Tim White (wetsounds) and his boat. If you haven't gotten your boat yet, why not talk with them about making this modification like Tim did?

Tim just has the Z tower.... that bar is there normally.... as least in the pics I've seen.

That bar is there normally but it's curved. Tige made a custom straight bar for his set up.

How much sound/volume differance is there between 2 485's and a 485 w/Pro80's (3-some)? I know the 3-some would be an easy fit.

I'm to picky.... I don't like the look of the 3-some. Actually I think pure DB wise, the 3-sum is probably louder.... but the pair of 485's has a "fuller sound" due to the additional "woofers".

Makes sense to me, it's all about listening preference

XTP towers did the custom bar for me when they were making the tower.

The pair of 485's will have more volume than the 3-Some if proper power is put to them!!! But the 3-Some is close and fits more towers like the curved ones.

Oic, thanks for that info Tim. Doubt we'd be getting Tige to make a straight bar on the E-tower...lol.
