I need help with pricing. Does anyone know what the true msrp is for a 08 22ve? Does pricing have anything to do with what part of the county you are buying?

MSRP is just that and shouldn't very from market to market. Now, the window sticker price is what the dealer puts on it, and will very from market to market and is based on what the dealer feels that boat is worth in his area.
I've seen some nicely optioned 22Ve's at the boat shows going for the mid 60's: Trailer, 340hp, vision air, tower speakers, custom hull color, ballast, SS package, SS rub rail, bow filler, wind screen.
You're correct about depreciation, but it will level off after that and then probably start to go up a little. I looked at my boat as a long term investment, so I didn't worry about the "off the lot" drop. Oh, and based on NADA (yes, I know, it's only a guide ) my 2 yr old 22Ve is going for about 12k less then what I paid, which is more then what I owe.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

For me, it was all about risk. I like to get in my boat and know it's going to work and that I'm happy with it. There's a lot that can go wrong that's expensive to fix on these babies and you never really know what's happened to a boat during its lifetime unless you know the owner very well.
I also figured if I'm going to fork over that much money, I might as well get it exactly the way I want it. That's why I bought new.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

There are a lot of 1-2 y/o boats out there to be had for a great price right now. If you're fearful of the depreciation go that route. If a boat has <50 hrs and is 1-2 y/o you stand a really good chance that nothing is wrong with it at all...probably $ trouble for the previous owner or they have a lot of $ and wanna upgrade. You don't have to look too hard to find a badazz boat that is barely broken in.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

MSRP???
What I find frustrating with boats is that no one seems to list the MSRP. Everything is "Please Call". With a car you can go online, build it and at least have a ballpark dollar amount. Where can I find the same thing with boats? I'm looking hard at a new 20V, but I want to go to the dealer with an idea of the MSRP. Ideas anyone?

Eh, You really don't wanna know MSRP... it'll make you choke....lol.
I will say this.... I've seen as much as a $20K difference from dealer to dealer so it does pay to shop around. Problem is, dealers buy the rights to a region and all hell gets raised IF you go to a out of state or out of area dealer. You might ask the dealer to tell you what MSRP of the boat is... other than that... I don't know of anything that can help you.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

The base MSRP on an unloaded 20V is around 38K now from what I read in one of the boating rags. Unfortunately it goes up in $$$ quickly as you upgrade motor, multiple colors and graphics, add stereo, tower, wetsounds trailer etc. You should able to get a very nicely equiped 20V for less than $44k at this time of year. The MSRP came from a boat review and not a dealers add for what that is worth.Last edited by Guest; 03-10-2008, 03:42 AM.
