Taps 2 vs Taps

What is the difference in the taps 2 and the taps. I have Taps on my 01 and was just wondering what is the difference.

I could be wrong, but I think the difference is on the ConvexV hull.

The taps part I think is the same.

Excellent question. Had the TAPS on my '99, now have TAPS2 on my '06.

The taps part I think is the same.

So it's the combination of new hull with the same TAPS. If I compare the '99 with '06 TAPS, I do not see any recognizable differences just looking at it.

My 01 has a vonvex hull with taps. So that is confussing????

My original TAPS has 2 rams and is hydraulic, is the TAPS 2 electric and has only 1 ram?

That is correct I do have two rams and Hydraulic. So it that the only difference???

I have an 03, electric, one ram, not taps 2.

TAPS2 I think was marketed right after Tige got their patents on the Convex V hull. If I am not mistaken TAPS preceded the patents so there may have been refinements in the hull design when they got their patents and marketed TAPS2 from an article I read. I think the modifications to the TAPS plate were irrelevant.

Taps2 is definitely hydraulic on th 07 22Ve...can't speak for others....
