$5.00 and I will get rid of the truck and boat...unless I get a pay raise or a 2nd job! I use a lot of fuel - the extra $1 per gallon would keep me from enjoying the boat as much as I want to and could no longer justify itself.Originally posted by eksilva View PostComment

I mean I love it, but at that price i would be spending 300-400 dollars a weekend, and I'm not sure I can justify or for that matter even afford that.

Same here - $250 minimum for a weekend if you put 40 gallons in it and then the diesel to tow it there and back. There's no way I can afford that. Starting to question if I can afford $4 a gallon now, need to start crunching some #'s here....

I just figured that I will probably spend $3,000 more in fuel this year than I did last year because of the price increase.
I am going to have to save money in other areas to help out the boating habit.

I was in Germany last month on a business trip and the price of gas there was:
5.29 euro per gallon
8.11 US dollar per gallon
