    diesel fuel prices

we can now welcome $4.00/per gallon for diesel fuel. in Orange Co. Calif fuel is as high as 4.17 per gallon. A year ago diesel was 20 cents a gallon less than 87 octane. Just sit back and now watch the price of goods go up!!!!!

Great news for a byproduct of refining gasoline . Anyone know what the profit margins are for eash grade of fuel? I may look at some of the oil compnaies 10-K and see if the disclose there profit margins on each grade.

Phoenix is around 3.49 and climbing.

Get ready boys and girls.... everything is going up. My concrete is shooting up $6 a yard next month.

Wheat, which has been around $2.50/bushel for the last 50 years has shot up to unheard of amounts. Last summer it temporarily hit ~$5/bushel and everyone was freaking out. It's now above $14/bushel. So there goes bread, noodles, and tons of other products. Get ready.

it does not cost more to make ULSD. It costs more because we can't use the cheap crap crude oil anymore. We now have to use the same crude that gas is which is lower in sulfer and lets us make the ULSD. Higher grade crudes cost more per barrel.

Want the cost of oil to drop? get the congressmen to pass a bill allowing new refineries to be built. We are building refineries left and right in foreign countries that produce gas and oil a lot more efficently and a lower cost. We are using refineries that are 50 years old. Do any of you still drive your 1960 car everyday? or use your 1960 tv?

              I know I don't.

I read somewhere that the oil companies were saying that they had to build all of this new stuff to produce ULSD and that's why the cost went up.

Holy crap, I am glad I no longer have a diesel anymore! I remember years ago when diesel was much cheaper than regular gas.

I'm curious to see profit margins on diesel as well. WOW.

$3.99 here in Vancouver USA. I saw a clip on CBS news and they were predicting $4.50 a gallon for diesel which would equate at about $4.10 a gallon for regular here. I sure am glad I got out of the boating game the way the prices are skyrocketing. We needed to travel to get dry, warmer weather so it would have costed us a lot of exta $ to get to our favorite destinations this year.
