I have read every post you put up and have yet to see many facts from you. you state your opinion on some things and thats fine. so what do you hope to gain from comming on a tige site and starting sh**. maybe since you became a MC owner you cant help but be an ***!! I cant help but wonder how long i would last aon the MC onwers site if i went over there and starting bashing their boats. this whole thread started with a good question about 2 different boats honest opions were given and everyone recomended driving both boats so he could make his own choice i saw no bashing of MC only opions from people who have been in both boats for you to come from the out of no where (not a regular on this site) to to be a negative is

We are going to take a test in a 08 X-15 which I can get for around 62K which is very close to what my local Tige dealer is asking for the 22ve (which I still think is about 5k too high). I really think in the end I will end up with a Tige even if I have to go out of state to get a good price.
IMO, The X-15 is not a good boat at all, The Wakeboard wake take a ton of ballast to throw somthing decent and its defenantly no slalom boat. The MC will not handle better than the 22ve or any tigé for that matter, and 62K, I think is high for that boat. You should be able to get your new 22ve for less than that.

What type of options are you getting for 62K? The price seems about right for 340 hp stereo and the usual equipment.
Indecision may or may not be my problem

I paid less than that for my RZ2.

We had 2 NICELY equipped 22Ve's at the 2 boat shows I worked for mid 60's.

We Have an 01 230 Maristar Sport in the family and I will say it is one nice boat, but other than a few gadget options I would not call it's fit and finish a whole lot better than my 20V.

It's handling is good not great and all in all it is a nice all purpose Vdrive. No massive wakes because no ballast and an adequate wake for recreational slaloming and Airfoiling.

Some of its quirks are plastic cupholders that have cracked and drivers seat and all the main lounge area of the boat had to have cushions, drivers and passengers seat cushions replaced because they would hold water. After replacing all of them they still hold water but not as much. Now when the boat is docked for lunch breaks and such the drivers and passengers cushions are flipped up so they drain. Kind of dissapointing for what the boat cost even back then but we live with it.

Other Nit issues happened with depth gauge and tach. Both had to be replaced numerous times during warranty because they were not accurate.

I won't bad mouth the boat or Mastercraft. Mastercraft met a lot it's key obligations except for the wet seats. The depth finder issue was because it was not mounted thru hull but epoxed to the inner hull in the bilge. That was changed.

My reaction is if you need the status of a "Mastercraft" go spend the money. Ounce for ounce my 20V will take on the comporable Mastercraft for $10k-$18K less.

Both the x-Series and the 200 Maristar use the same hull and the Maristar does not handle any where as good as my 20V. I will say I like it's pickle but I can live with out it. I am not a boarder but I wanted a multifunctional boat with the capability to take someone boarding if needed without ballasts.

The 20V is a heavier boat and IMHO a better built boat. Mastercrafts are well thought out and bulit well but IMO Tige has an edge here.

The Tige 20V's acceleration tests are a little better than a 200 Maristar with comporable hp. The only edge I see in a Mastercraft is that they put more money into the gauges and dash. A little more high tech dash than Tige 20V.

Again to me it is not worth the price or Branding difference of a Mastercraft but to each their own. If the Maristar was priced much closer to the 20V I would look at it an consider it but not for the 10K to 18K difference. Resale on both boats are good and both hold their value. People not concerned wit Mastercraft branding tend to for Tige and other brands.

You will notice Rod, in a basic comparison I have not bashed Mastercraft but only pointed out what I would call are nits and a couple advantages it has and some of the advantages Tige has. I could go on but I don't work in the fantasy land called marketing or sales

OOPS, Sorry for the long post

I would like to see pictures of your V's interior. Your seams are splitting on an '06?

Why not? If people see what the interior really looks like, It may lure them to MC becuase they wouldn't want their interior looking like that after 2 years, would they?

I've been here a while and heard my share of complaints, Just not on an '06. Friends 2000 only has a few tears, but I'm guessing that there from boards/skis because there on top the ski locker

But I would like to see pictures on your '06 with your problems, I'm assuming you have pictures if you had it listed for sale, right?
