Almost $50k for a 04 boat with 325 hs? I guess your friend might keep it for a couple more years...

      Rob,

I'm sorry you made 2 horrible mistakes by buying one Tige, and then a 2nd. I'm glade you finally bought the Best boat out there 3rd time is the charm they say.

It sounds like MC is the right boat for you, best of luck with it.

Then that goes back to my point. The boat originally costs $80k+ and he is already upsidedown $20K+ already????? My 24Ve didn't lose that much value in two years.

My first Tige 2005 22V I paid $43k, sold it 2 seasons later for around $41K. Now that's holding it value!!!

You guys don't think it's worth 49K to be cool? C'mon, you can say you own an X-star!

What is amazing is that the price is already about $30k less than the original price and we still think it is over priced.

But that is the price you pay to be cool.

Exactly! The price is right if you've gotta be cool though and Mastercraft knows it. Why do you think they have the custom graphics and wraps, fancy gauge clusters, way more billet than anybody needs and their logo stitched into everything in site? They are after the "I gotta be cooler than you" crowd that's willing to pay the ridiculous prices and in a lot of cases get in way over their heads. When it comes right down to it they aren't any better than any other boat, just a lot more. I've been in a few and wasn't impressed at all, get past the glitter and you ask yourself what makes this boat worth so much? Nothing.

Ha I haven't looked at this thread for a few days I was bored and it was funny. All in all you can get a great wake out of any wakeboat. Just throw more sacks in it

I am currently in the market for a new boat I actually have a deposit down on a 22ve waiting for our current boat to sell and I have been looking at my options even as far as looking at Mastercraft. I really like the Tige's (which I have driven and been very impressed) but I want to make sure I explore all the options. We are going to take a test in a 08 X-15 which I can get for around 62K which is very close to what my local Tige dealer is asking for the 22ve (which I still think is about 5k too high). I really think in the end I will end up with a Tige even if I have to go out of state to get a good price.

That is what I did went out of state to get a good price. The only negative to that is try to get a local dealer to work on it. The positive to that is that you learn your boat very well and figure out how to do your own maintenance and repairs. It saved me almost 20k by going out of state.

Any dealer should warranty any tige...I know FIC does, someone just moved here from Tennessee with a tige and he didn't even think twice about treating them like an original customer. I would think one call to corporate about a warranty issue resulting from not buying the boat from the particular dealer doing the work would rectify the situation. I know it does happen though, heard about it with cars, motorcycles, boats...whatever. I bought the tige over the mc for value and design, the tige handled better and was about half the price for a new boat...as close to identically equipped as the 22v could be to a x-star in 2006. In fact the 2006 x-star that we looked at is still at the dealer with almost 100 hours on it from demos and it is about 15k less than what he initially wanted.
