Tige RZ2 VS X-star

rob, I have 5 growing boys on my 24Ve and just purchased an RZ2. The only problem that I have with my seats were due to wakeboards cutting a 3/4 inch hole into it. I have never had a problem with the vynal for 2 years. So, I am not sure where your facts are coming from on the seats.
Now, there have been problems that I have heard about with the older seats 5+ year old boats and seams coming apart. But nothing in regards to the newer boats.
As for the warranty between Tige and MC. Hands down Tige wins this battle. Lifetime warranty on the hull. MC can't say that.
Okay, didn't want to comment in here but again, I also like to see the pot turned a little.

I always think these posts are interesting. I have a 24 V a close friend has a X-30 and another friend has a BU XLV. All three boats are great boats. Yes each is different and all three of us would buy the same boat again. All of us agree rough water ride in the Tigé is best. The fit and finish on the other two brands is a little nicer than the Tigé, but I know the BU was $12,000 more and the X-30 was $16,000 from what we each paid with in two months of each other in the '05 season. We spend a week at Powell together every year and when it comes time to ride any of us will ride behind who ever is pulling. Another question for you all is who is best Ford, Chev, Dodge? My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

Rob,
I've seen many of the same used MCs sitting in the same lots since last Aug when I bought my boat. I looked at all of them. The fit and finish was no better or worse than Tige. The used Tiges in my area have all sold. Do I think it's becuase Tige is way better--no. Probably coincidence to be honest; that or prospective buyers (like myself) thought it would be prudent to use some common sense and not pay the premium for the MC name because the boat itself was no better--just more expensive.
If fit and fnish was your criteria you should have bought a Malibu.
Everybody hads thier own preferences, it doesn't make the others wrong--just different. That's a good thing.
Enjoy your Xstar. I'm thrilled you feel you made a good purchase and when it's time to sell it I hope you et a great return out of it. Just don't bash because you have different brand. It's not very flattering and quite frankly it makes you look like an *******--which I'm sure is not the case.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Let's just get out there on the lake and have some fun in whichever boat you decide.
We all have our own opinions and we can agree to disagree in some points. Life is too short to waste on fighting on who's boat is best. The laughter of the world is merely loneliness pathetically trying to reassure itself. - Neal A. Maxwell

Rob it is a waste of time for you to come onto these forums to bash, thats basically what all teh other manufacturers do to tige because our boats are, on a whole, better made, more practical and more suited to families that need variety and safety on their boat. Tiges weigh more than most other manufacturers becasue of the thickness of our hulls, tige has a lifetime warranty for a reason, they know they are not going to break without SERIOUS abuse. I would also like to see a mastercraft get the same fuel efficiency as a tige, especially now that fuel prices are going up it is really important. we go through about 11 litres an hour, which works out at about 3 gal per hour when converted to american quantites. we use a tank of fuel for 2-3 days without having to refil, a friend of ours has a mastercraft and uses a tank in one day easily.
my point is, go bash on a forum where people actually give a S!*t and dont bother bashing when you are obviously ignorant about boats and havent gathered correct information.

I can see this thread's ending.... Just replace the names with usernames.
Ron: Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean that really got out of hand fast!
Brian: It jumped up a notch.
Ron: It did, didn't it?
Brick: Yea, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron: I saw that! Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick: Yea, there were horses and a man on fire and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safe house or a relative close by because you're probably wanted for murder.
