Not sure if resale value means anything to you, but that is something I consider. It seems to me that the MC's bring MUCH worse resale value. I owned my 2005 22V for 3 great years and sold it for 6k less then I paid for it. Got right back into a 24Ve a few months ago and can't wait for summer!! Good luck with whatever you choose.

Yah I have driven and riden behind both IMHO i think tiges drive better. But Make sure u "ride" behind both because as far as the wake goes the XS is pretty sweet. I didnt really like the RZ2 wake but I think its a better looking boat. So depends if ur going to spend more time behind the drivers seat or behind the boat. This coming from someone who owns a 20v

How Much ballast did the rz2 have??Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Yah it had the right amount of ballast in it. I think close to 2000 in bags plus stock ballast. Idk I like the wake behind the 20v and the 24v but the 22' hull seems to make a lil weird wake. Don't get me wrong I love tiges im not trying to bash anyones boat or anything. Maybe it was weighted wrong idk didnt really examine the ballast setup lol G-Money where did u get that pic of the XS that thing looks loaded I saw Shanes boat the other day and it wasnt near that close to the water idk what he runs in his but they were filming some double ups so i know that thing had to be slammed.Last edited by Studman; 03-14-2008, 06:00 AM.

Your on a tige' site with bias opinions. I've owned two 24v's-2005 and 2006 and really liked the RZ until I drove the mastercraft-much better fit/finish and ride. I would never own another Tige-resale is horrible as well as fit and finish. The RZ is is a overpriced V. Drive both and compare build and you will see for yourself.

I am surprised that you thought the ride was better in the MC , I work and test every brand on a regular basis and cant seem to find a MC that comes close to a tige for ride or handling . Take any brand out and let go of the steering wheel while driving and it will steer in the direction of the prop rotation, next try pulling a double up to the left with the MC with one hand, you better work out in the gym first , and when you cross the wake on the double up have somebody hold the glove box door so it doesnt fly open due to dash quiver, these are just few of my experineces while on the water. By the way thats not just any particular model I have driven.

i notice you didn't mention fit and finish? Also mastercraft uses hydraulic steering(2006 and newer models) so when you let go it continues straight. I drove the Rz with intentions on buying and was disappointed. My friend who has owned a V and a Ve felt the same-he now owns a Mc x-45 and so do I.

I don't have a problem comparing Tige and MC at a fit and finish level. Once you look at all the detail work. Sew pattens etc. and get past all the billet bling pieces. If you've driven both then you know that the RZ 2 turns MUCH better than the X Star. Even w/o hydraulic steering. Just my opinion.Indecision may or may not be my problem

The Rz does turn a little quicker, so what it is lighter. Are you going to buy a boat based on that, if so there are a lot of others that turn quicker which doesn't mean "better" and who cares about "double up".The MC still turns good! Wait tell you try to sell your tige'-good luck. Tige' is priced in arnge for what it is as well as the MC. they are not on the same playing field and you know it if you have really compared them without bias. Tell me about fit/finish-love to here what you have to say because there is a huge difference. Start with the crap vinyl seats in the Tige'. Why don't you Quote owners here with all the problems!

I owned a Rinker before my RZ2 and looked at both the X Star and X-45 as well as the Supra's and thought the RZ2 was a more solid boat. I do like the X Star's tower and fancy billet pieces, they are awesome but not worth the extra $20k to me. Here in Colorado there is no problem whatsoever with resale, 3 year old boats sell for $5k-$10k less than they were new so I'm not sure what you are talking about resale for.

Why did you join a Tige site to fight about X Stars again? Shouldn't you be over on Wakeworld?
