    IPOD or Zune

So i got a ipod nano its just 4gb. Last night I bought me an 80 GB Zune. It seems to be more simple then the ipods. to put music on and stuff like that. Its got some cool features on it. its wireless so you can bluetooth songs from friends. Does any one else have one of these?

Based on price and functionality, I prefer the Zune. I have a 30 that I dropped an 80GB drive in. For a prettier interface and compatibility I like the ipod. I have an older 30 and a nano.

I think the Zune is a better overall media player, the ipod wins in the aesthetics dept.

I've had both. Thing is even though Zune has wireless song transferring no one has a Zune so its not really useful. And if you don't use Limewire, etc. and you use the Zune Market Place the songs expire. At first I thought the one price for all the songs you want was good, but its not unless you are always buying. IMO iPod is better. But whatever you like more is what counts. The Zune I had was the non-touch scroll. (First generation)

I have a ipod nano 2gb (2gen) and a ipod video 30gb (5gen) and have had no issues with either. The only issue i have with them is itunes and the fact that unless ALL the music on your system goes to the same folder it cannot find it, especially if you move stuff around! So i direct Limewire and the default itunes folder to my archive remote HD and all is good.

                  tigeboarder,
You have to remove the DRM or pay the 79points (about 95cents) to use the music without a subscription. If you get a program like MuvAudio, using the subscription service is nice albiet a bit on the illegal side. One other feature that makes a Zune nice is that if you have an XBOX 360, the Zune software allows the 360 to work like a media server for all of the music or movies. It also uses the same points system tied to your live account. Some other features no one knows about are the ability to hack it into accepting other video formats outside of WMV (like DivX). If you are big into peer to peer, I would say the Zune is a better match. If you are big into music purchasing and subscriptions I would go ipod. I don't usually choose mainstream on many things though. I still think Noikia has the best smartphone (better than an iphone) followed by Treo, the original XBOX running XBMC is the best Media center PC available (better than movies on demand or other offerings), XBOX 360 kicks PS3s butt, Zune is a better player, and HD-DVD is a better format. Maybe you shouldn't choose what I do. Everyone uses devices differently, and for me having ipod for my music doesn't work. For my wife, it does.....it is made for the technological challenged, like many other offerings from Apple.

I would look for Zune to continue to step it up a notch, and eventually should play into market pricing and bring down the cost for everyone. It is a shame the same couldn't happen for HD disc.

Oh well I don't use my Zune anymore. I'm on my second one, after the screen on the first one broke. Anybody interested in a first generation limited edition PINK?? AHAHA

Do you still have the one with the broken screen? I have an idea I would like to use it for.

Are you giving the pink one away?

I got the second one free, because I sent the broken one back to Microsoft. I'd probably sell it for $50.

I wont buy another Ipod. Itunes bites, the device crashes all the time and looses the hole play list, their customer service/tech support sux

I've been using Itunes/iPods for at least 3-4years, I've never had any problems with either, I really should back up my music, Because I would be out 84GB's of tunes But I'm waiting for apple to come out with bigger iPod like a 100GB.

Did you ever figure out what happened or why it crashed?
