Doubt it all you want, but GBP works directly with the OEMs on product design (Gale Banks actually designed the prototype for the chevy Syclone and typhoon turbocharged powerplants). They're currently working w/ the OEMs on creating cleaner, more powerful turbodiesels. This is not only for the factory offerings, but for their upcoming crate engine line... 1200hp clean burning duramax? yes please. How about dropping an 1100hp crate turbodiesel into a classic camaro? What if I told you that it got 23mpg? Speculate all you want... only time will tell.

Black Smoke??? Let me give you a tip here as you seem to be unfamiliar w/ Diesel Engines.... the only way your going to get rid of all that black smoke w/ Dual CP3's and lift pumps is by providing enough air to burn it all ... OR spray. There's not really a turbo that would be useable for us that would provide enough air to burn up all the fuel that is provided w/ the fuel mods I mentioned above (which are absolutely required once you get above the 600hp range. The type R and Type S are Sprayed to hell just FYI. Both those trucks I posted are #2 only.
Their EGT's are south of 1300... both those trucks are twinned. Nasty is f/s if anyone wants it!
I wasn't doubting that Banks works w/ OEM manuf.... as I know they do. I ALSO know that the other guys do as well.
23mpg isn't all that great into a camaro bub. I get 23 out of my LBZ right now. And 18 out of my LMM w/ a 6" lift and 35's. And those trucks are 7K lbs. I'm in the process of dropping a duramax into a 77' impala. We'll be around 900hp w/ it to begin with and should be around 30mpg.
Getting to the 1000hp mark on today's diesel's is not hard... it's sizing the turbo's correctly.

Bottom line... that kind of smoke is due to improper air/fuel mixture. Argue all you want. The same holds true for gas, diesel, kerosene (jet-a, Jet-a1), 100LL.
Anyways, I'm done arguing with you.
