My wife bought me one of these "Ripstik castor boards" for Christmas this past year and at first I was like "oh boy, another toy that I won't use". I tried it out a few times and it was pretty fun but hard as hell to figure out the first time. Yesterday I got to really get into it and all I can say is it is an absolute blast to ride! It is just like surfing or snowboarding, you can totally carve on it like a surfboard. I have a feeling that my surfboard "pumping" skills will be quite a bit better this season after riding this for almost an hour yesterday. You can even ride it up hill with both feet on the board, you just "pump" your back foot like you do a surfboard and you gain a ton of speed and then start carving back and forth and make it up a pretty good size grade!
Does anyone else on here have one? Any tips? At 33 years old I don't expect to be doing ollies or anything like that but I am definitely enjoying the carving aspect of it. Also, it's great exercise too! My hips and legs definitely got a workout!
