    Call for interior pics

    Ladies & Gents:

I'm putting in a new interior for my '99 2100v.

I'd like your suggestions & ideas on how you'd redo your interior if you could.

Right now, I'm working from a blank slate--completely blank. The whole interior is on it's way out.

    I'm interested in:

    1. original interior?
    2. heavy gauge vinyl? (new Tige is 32 oz, I think Mastercraft is 40 oz.)
    3. darker colors or lighter colors? other than style, what are the functional advantages of either?

If you are in a hot climate stay w/mostly white and maybe a small amount of accent. The darker the color the hotter the seat in the sun.

I'm redoing mine as we speak. I went with an upgraded vinyl. The old Tige vinyl had a very thin backing which made it susceptible to splitting around the seams.

One thing I would recommend is getting rid of the seams on the seat cushions in the cockpit. I'm having the foam filled in so it will be smooth, which means it's less likely to crack along the seams. I went with a solid color that's pretty close to the mushroom color.

Also, I'm going with the VisionAir Chair. I think you saw what I posted on your other thread.

Is that Bibbs the "Favorite Tige Accesory Super Poster" who has it
            Bless thier hearts.

On a serious note though related to the original question:
I would defininitely go with light colors. Dark colors burn the snot out of your skin when the sun beats on them. Light colors are more friendly to the skin!

I am running all white with Red Piping... Great for the AZ sun... Even the lighter colors get scorching hot here... This was a dealer spec boat that they put together so I didn't design the boat...

I like the white but it can be a b!tch to keep clean...

Dogbert, how much is the VisionAir chair setting you back? Does it bolt to the floor like the standard chair or do you need to drill new holes?

This is the cheapest place I could find it:

www.iboats.com. $507 including shipping. It's supposed to get here on Monday.

What color is are you thinking about for your interior?

Light colors = good, not so hot in the sun.
Not so hot = probably last a bit longer.

I haven't made up my mind yet. Mushroom, maybe light gray. I really like the VisionAir chair.

Now a question about a cover. I need a new one. A friend of mine has an I/O with a snap-on cover, then throws on a travel cover when they're towing.

                        1. I don't imagine myself using a snap-on cover on the lake. Can I get by with just a heavy duty cover for towing?

                        2. Where's a good place to get said heavy duty cover for towing?

Does the visionair work on any boat? ie. Are the mounting holes any different? need or not need a pedestal? thanks
