I have an 06 20V with the Marine Power 340hp and PP. I ordered it that way and works just fine. I'd talk to a dealer to get it installed, but it obviously can be done since my setup works. An interesting note that I found out along the process is that Wakeboard Pro and the 3 event PP are the same internally, just a diff user interface. You can actually reboot the system and pick either one. At least that's what I was told by credible sources.

I wonder if yours might be an 05 340hp with a throttle cable?

Very true, back a while ago when I added PP I had to do quite a bit of work to relocate trailer bunks on my boat (I/O with center bunks) so I really did not want to install the thru hull paddle wheel. After several researching it pretty deeply I went with thru hull. One major reason is the water is far less laminar at the back of the boat and that really effects the speed feedback to the PP. In fact they will not guarantee the performance of the PP if you do not use the thru hull paddle. Go thru hull, you pay good money for the system and you would be cheating yourself not to get best performance out of the PP. Everyone would do transom mounted paddle wheels if they worked as good, but they don't.

which perfect pass are you getting?

i heard the new ones are a pain in the arse to calibrate cause you have to calibrate like 5 settings!!!! OUCH!

i am still a firm believer that accuset is a shitload better than perfect pass......i have only been on one boat where PP is actually good, the rest, it sucks

Good to hear. I somehow missed your post (#3) that you had the carb'd engine

What's the difference in the Accuset vs PP? I am getting one to install myself this spring (tax return ). Is the Accuset a DIY project also? I would think the 2 were nearly identical as far as the hardware end of it goes. I know the user interfaces are quite different, but what else???

Chpthril- No problem FIC caught it and let me know i was alright my comment above was not a shot at you(hope it didnt sound like that) it was a confirmation of FIC's post...

dcsnowwake- I am getting wake pro...That's interesting that you say that cause that is exactly the opposite of what I've heard...I looked into both and PP was the system of choice with the least issues... for carbed systems...EFI i agree the accuset got better reviews

Jason- This is from my VERY untechnical knowlege I found in my research that if your boat is EFI look at accuset. Carbed PP is the way to go..this is simply the best info I could come up with in searching...As for the difference between the two I have not idea I just asked which people own and how they like it...

I put a PP Wakeboard Pro in our 2001 21V Mag MPI last year and it was not that hard an install. I probably spent half the time detailing the wiring harness and servo install so that it looked better than factory. There's no connection to the engine's MEFI controller. The system should work fine for any carbed or EFI system that is not "throttle-by-wire". The PP adds a connection to the throttle linkage (carb or throttle body) for control which must be incompatible with a "throttle-by-wire" system. Cutting the hole for the paddle wheel was the "take a deep breath" part of my install, but it went without a hitch. Mounting the PP gauge in the dash took more time. The system works perfect and I can't imagine having a boat without it.

SAC-i agree with that part, i would go PP with carb, and acc with EFI

make sure you get the right calibration codes from PP for it though!!!!

Accu-Set was developed for Tige, by Marine Power, for the 06 and newer Marine Power Fuel Injected Throttle-by-Wire engines.

There should be a PP kit that will work on your boat.

Jason- based on my research and your sig 02 20V you will want PP not accuset Like chpthril said accuset is for EFI throttle by wire... I got my wake pro PP for 1040 shipped 2nd day air...there is no place to get accuset except dealer..

                                ohh, ok

I do have EFI, bu it's not throttle by wire. I read the above posts to mean all EFI engines are better off with Accuset--not just those with the throttle by wire.

I like the idea of using PP better because they have good customer service with the couple times I've spoke to them (and they called me back when I left messages).
