I have an 06 20V with the Marine Power 340hp and PP. I ordered it that way and works just fine. I'd talk to a dealer to get it installed, but it obviously can be done since my setup works. An interesting note that I found out along the process is that Wakeboard Pro and the 3 event PP are the same internally, just a diff user interface. You can actually reboot the system and pick either one. At least that's what I was told by credible sources.

Very true, back a while ago when I added PP I had to do quite a bit of work to relocate trailer bunks on my boat (I/O with center bunks) so I really did not want to install the thru hull paddle wheel. After several researching it pretty deeply I went with thru hull. One major reason is the water is far less laminar at the back of the boat and that really effects the speed feedback to the PP. In fact they will not guarantee the performance of the PP if you do not use the thru hull paddle. Go thru hull, you pay good money for the system and you would be cheating yourself not to get best performance out of the PP. Everyone would do transom mounted paddle wheels if they worked as good, but they don't.Originally posted by zad0030 View PostYou will get more accurate readings from the one installed in the hull vs the one on the transom.

which perfect pass are you getting?
i heard the new ones are a pain in the arse to calibrate cause you have to calibrate like 5 settings!!!! OUCH!
i am still a firm believer that accuset is a shitload better than perfect pass......i have only been on one boat where PP is actually good, the rest, it sucksCIH/pcrew founder

What's the difference in the Accuset vs PP? I am getting one to install myself this spring (tax return ). Is the Accuset a DIY project also? I would think the 2 were nearly identical as far as the hardware end of it goes. I know the user interfaces are quite different, but what else???Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Chpthril- No problem FIC caught it and let me know i was alright my comment above was not a shot at you(hope it didnt sound like that) it was a confirmation of FIC's post...
dcsnowwake- I am getting wake pro...That's interesting that you say that cause that is exactly the opposite of what I've heard...I looked into both and PP was the system of choice with the least issues... for carbed systems...EFI i agree the accuset got better reviews
Jason- This is from my VERY untechnical knowlege I found in my research that if your boat is EFI look at accuset. Carbed PP is the way to go..this is simply the best info I could come up with in searching...As for the difference between the two I have not idea I just asked which people own and how they like it...Last edited by sacnvr2l8; 02-27-2008, 04:27 PM.

There should be a PP kit that will work on your boat.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

ohh, ok
I do have EFI, bu it's not throttle by wire. I read the above posts to mean all EFI engines are better off with Accuset--not just those with the throttle by wire.
I like the idea of using PP better because they have good customer service with the couple times I've spoke to them (and they called me back when I left messages).Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
