    Perfect Pass

I have an 06 20V and I went to order perfect pass last night from a perfect pass dealer (not tige). Perfect pass said they did want to sell me the unit cause not all 06 models have the wire harness for it and many of the 06 ECM 's aare not compatible with perfect pass. Any one heard of this?

It depends on your throttle. You'll need to get specifics about your particular set-up before they can rule it out. I know there were some issues with the throttle-by-wire setup in the early 06's. If that doesn't work, try talking to your Tige dealer to see if they can retro-fit the Tige Accuset.

Then, it shouldn't be a problem. They might be assuming you are, but maybe I'm wrong.

If you have a Marine Power engine in your 06, it was meant to have Accu-Set, and I dont think the PP will work.

I think all you would need is the control head, and maybe a new program for the ECM. I think the plug is under the dash as part of the factory harness.

Ok, i'm 99% sure that there is not a PP that will work, and I guess PP already told you this.

Yes, the Accu-Set control head. I'm betting all you will need is the controller which is also the key pad. The main harness should already have the plug for the key pad. The Accu-set works through the engine ECM which is already controlling the throttle. Should be a simple plug-&-play.

Send a PM to tigeowner FIC, he can probably answer all your questions.

If your engine is carbed you should have no problem installing pp , I would call them back and make sure they under stood, also call MP and they should be able to confirm that info. With a carb pp should have its own computor and only need a tach signal. The engine shouldnt have any ecm , just carb and ignition .

Speaking of Perfect Pass I was wanting to install it this year, but I am a bit concerned about cutting the hole for the paddle wheel. However, my boat already has the speedo paddle wheel at the back of the transome. Here is my question, can I use this paddle wheel for the PP instead of cutting and installing another paddle wheel?

You will get more accurate readings from the one installed in the hull vs the one on the transom.
