    Most fuel efficient?

With the cost of fuel going up, I was wondering what the most fuel efficient wakeboard boat is. I only found one website with very limited info. They had current info on Malibu, Tige and couple of Mastercrafts , but the MC's were from '06.
    www.boattest.com
The Tige averaged about 1 gallon an hour better. Are there any other boat test sites that have a more comprehensive list?

Tige is the most fuel effient, marine power and gm work closely together infact gm does their marine testing with tige boats. I survey my custormers with all brands , those who check theres , most are at about 8to 9 gals per hour, the jet boats about 10 to 11 per hour and tige about 5 to 6 per hour, my personal ski team boat burns from 3 to 4 per hour.

I am using right around 6 gph while wakeboarding or cruising and we get 3-4 while wakesurfing. I had an '04 Rinker 19' with a 305 carb motor in it and it used about 7-9 gallons per hour and weighed 1,500lbs less!

This in no way is meant to be a slam or anything to you, and I understand that you may want the most efficient boat out there, but the old saying goes, pay to play, and if you can't pay don't play.

Again, not trying to pick a fight here, but the last thing most people here don't even pay attention to it. it's part of having fun, and there is no price on that, IMO.

otherwise welcome to the board and have fun
I love my Tigé and the fuel economy. I'm with Dom if you are worried about fuel costs you should really check out what it cost to run your boat an hour. My brother did this a few years ago, cost or depreciation, insurance, expenses to get to and on the lake. He figured it cost him $300 to $400 an hour to run his boat. I use this argument as why I need to rack up more hours, But honey I need to bring the cost per hour used down. I do love the economy of a Tigé though compared to my buddies that have a MasterCraft and Malibu. Just one more comment on fuel costs. I have a friend that has only taken his boat out 3 times in the last two years because he says fuel cost to much. Tell me how that makes any sense, he owns an '04 boat. How much has that boat depreciated in value over those two years.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

I think anyone considering the purchase of a wakeboard boat would be very interested in knowing that Tige's are more efficient that the competitors.

I also think that most members of this site do pay attention to gas prices, since there is thread on here that has over 340 post and 3200 views. Either way - I know that I will still run my boat this summer if prices reach $4.00 a gallon.

Gas is 3.09 here, and diesel is 2.81 glad my toy hauler is a diesel.

If gas reaches 4 dollars, I believe I'll be selling my boat and picking up another hobby. Not sure, but probably. Guess I'll just see when it happens.

yeah it did. I removed it, but still got me, oh well. I still stand by what I "said" but I just tried to remove it. Was in a funky mood, and it's a sore topic on something that I don't believe it should be considered. Toys are expensive, but that's it they are toys. I could care less what it costs to run it. I know I spend between 3 and 4 grand in gas for the boat alone in 06, and then dropped 10grand into the stereo in 07. It's just one of those things. I like my toys so I see it, I buy it I use it

if that's referring to my quote I erased, no it's not it's just truthful. You wouldn't be on this forum if you didn't like the boat and enjoy your toys. Do you really pay attention to gas usage? no you bought the boat due to reasons different for eveyrone and that you like to have fun. There is no limit on what fun can cost. U do something because you like it and enjoy it.

Again, why I erased the quote due to the fact that I realized it would be taken the wrong way.
