our lakes get pretty far down around September too because they are all used for irrigation but then they fill up again in the spring once all that snow melts from the mountains. I guess that same water has to fill the lakes in Colorado and Lake Mead and Lake Powell. That's a lot of water!

Then they can't live in CA without the power and water coming from the lake.

"and human demand, evaporation and human-induced climate change are fueling the growing deficit"

That is what this study is really about. More enviros trying to scare us all. It may happen, but the human induced part of it may not be the cause. This area was a lush jungle thousands of years ago...humans caused that to disappear too I bet.

The earth has always had change, and it will continue to change, remember the ice age?

Not all of us are as old as you Tall so we might not remember the Ice Age

We can just take all the water out of Powell and fill Mead back up part way when we get that far.

it's just people selling stories to make money.

You know we might all die tomorrow when an astroid hits us too.

Then again the climate change good go back to abnormally wet seasons like we had in the late 90s when Mead was 100% of capacity. At least thats what I am hoping for, or I am going to have a worthless house in Meadview.

OK, we are looking at putting solar power on our house right now because PG&E is getting greedy with there prices. Our power and gas bill last month was $600.00 and it seems to go up every month with less usage. We have now turned of the Spa, cut the pool run time back, cut back TV time and are reading more books which is good anyways, and our bill continues to go up. It seems the more we cut back the higher the bill. So now we will go with Solar and make PG&E pay us.

If people in CA will do this we will reduce the dependence of power from Mead into CA and thus they could hold more water and give what we need for drinking and bathing. In CA. we have a great opportunity compared to most of the nation for solar energy. Starting next year new home builders are going to have to offer it as an options on all new construction.

I think we all need to get a little greener to tame corporate America a little and it will also help the environment.

Now when it comes to my boat sorry there is nothing GREEN about that.

Domsz06 is right, just the stupid media trying to sell a story. How come every record temperature we break is from the 1800's???????

A friend of mine is/was looking into solar power to save $$$. He did the math and it would take him 30 years to recoup the costs of having it all installed... The funny thing is, he'd probably have to have it replaced by then because it would be so old.
