Proud new part-owner of houseboat on Powell

I have been on this boat a few times and an opening became available. It is an older boat but very functional. It has two fridges, a large deep freeze freezer, and two bathrooms. The engines are brand new 4-stroke Yahamas and a new water cooled generator. It's no fancy boat that you see at the boat shows with jacuzzi tubs and flat screens, but I like this boat's casualness and functionality. Also, it has a covered slip at Bull Frog.

Congradulations it looks great and should be nice for both weekend jaunts or vacations. Easy Living just not cheap I'm sure

MY wife and I wish we could do that but living in the Chicago area just does not have the water needed for them. Maybe later on when I move South to the Little Rock Area or 3-4 hours from TableRock or Bullshoals. Maybe even a Texas Lake that I could get more use out of.

We have 2 weeks during the summer season and as much as we want during the off season. Our scheduled weeks for this year are in June and Aug. We need to get a few of you others who have access to a houseboat and schedule a reunion. We can be "floating trailer trash" together!

Sweet. Are you out of Bull Frog, Halls, or Wahweap? How far away from the Marina do you go to get away from the crowd? Post some pics of your houseboat!

We are out of Wahweap. We start on the tuesday to Tuesday in which the 4th of July is.

It is actually my wife's family houseboat, but I get to go every year.

I posted a picture in a different thread, I don't know how to point to the image, but check out the thread here.

Ha ha ha, that's awesome! Can you drive from the top and is it a v-hull with an inboard?

Since they are so slow, we usually get out swim when the houseboat is going

BTW: you can show pics from other threads by right clicking on the image and getting the URL address. Click on the picture icon in the editor and then paste the URL address and you're done.
