    $ 141
    $ 85 for the wetsounds

    $ 226 for a set of tower speakers
    Post a pic, at your convenience, if you don't mind. I may have to look into this as a budget tower speaker setup.

    Thanks.

                The new skylons sounded really good at the boat show yesterday in LA. I was surprised out how the projected. The TIGE skylons that I have do not sound as good or project even half as much as the new skylons do.

                  Nuck'n is selling a Kicker ZX350.4 and a sub. That amp is a great match for those drivers. Dont know if he will part them separately tho.

                    Pics of the amps, where speakers hook up, would be great.
                    I understand if my amp still had two channels that I could hook channel A pair to speaker L and channel B pair to speaker R.

                    If I only have 1 channel at the amp then I would pull both pairs and hook them to the open channel and terminate 1 pair to each speaker.

                    The issue is you would be mono in the 2nd config but in open water behind the boat surfin or swimming you really won't notice stereo vs mono any how.

                    Am I right?

                    The Speakers I am looking at are Kicker (KS60) 6.5" Speakers (180 watts each Peak and 65 watts RMS each)

                    I am going to see if someone will take a look at the amp today to confirm how many channels and model of amp.

                      This will work fine if if you do have 2 unused chnls.

                      Phil can give a better explanation of why not to go this route, but here's mine: 1st - 2ohm load on a single chnl while the other 3 are seeing 4 (or maybe 8ohm depending on how it is wired). what ever power that chnl puts out @ 2 ohm (in parallel, or 8ohm in series) will be divided by the 2 speakers and will be very low.

                      Tower speakers in Mono is not uncommon

                      Lets not get the cart before the horse, lets see what you got and how it's configured, and go from there. We'll have ya rock'n by Spring.

                          I just got off the phone with the service group from my dealers and they indicated that the boat has a 5 channel 700 amp Kicker running.

                          The boat has a woofer and 6 speakers which run off this Amp and they suggest paralleling the tower speakers with an in boat set of speakers. They will give me a drawing.

                          The gal I talked to quoted $1500+ for the Pro60's and the $1600 for a seperate amp. Wetsounds Direct gets $799 for what the Tige dealer wants $1500+ for.

                          Basically they are hooking up like Tige would if you just had two tower speakers added and not their so called Tower of Power (kerching)

                            Ok, you've got what Tige calls the "Premium Sound System".

                            With the above suggestion, I have one word.....RUN, run very fast You cant parallel a pair of 150 watt RMS speakers into a pair of 75 watt RMS speakers for a lot of reasons: sound quality, balance, volume, heat generated by the amp.

                            Let me ask one question, would you run a "Z" rated tire on your Hyundai??? Nope, it would be a waste of good money and a great tire. So, dont you want to get the most out of those $800 Pro 60's!!!! You will need an Amp. I have not seen a Tige yet that came from the factory with Tower speakers that were not on their own amp.

                            You can get a good 2 chnl or smaller 4 chnl and run bridged, for less then $200. If your Lucky, the boat may be wired for that 2nd amp, and all you would need to do is wire the tower.

                            The MX350.4/ZX350.4 is an inexpensive 4chnl that is perfect for 1 pair of PRO 60's with 175 watts x 2 bridged @ 4ohms.

                              My on this? Listen to what these guys are telling you, trying to do this on the cheap will result in unhappiness. There are many instances recorded here of people doing just that and having to replace/add the amp to correctly drive speakers or their systems shutting down or they sound like crap!

                              A dedicated amp for you towers is the only and correct way to do it if you want awesome sound and reliability. Nothing worse than your amp overheating and shutting everything down! Running the interior speakers in parallel works great as long as your not trying to kill them and they can handle the power but the towers really need to have dedicated channels to get the most out of them.

                              Also you really should have a dual battery setup with a switch or isolator so you don't get carried away playing tunes and drain your battery in the middle of nowhere. Again my

                                I concur. what started out as free accessories is adding up. Cable, new amp, new speaker wire, most likely another new amp since I might be redoing the interior speakers and the subs. I have to stop the madness.
                                Let it be!!!
