Tower speakers???

Jim - Are your Pro 60's black or white? If I recall correctly they are black...

I have a pair of Pro 60's that I'm going to be looking to sell soon as well but mine are white... I'm also in the conundrum Jim is in... Too many speakers... Not enough amp... I'm still trying to figure everything out...

Alternates to WetSounds P60

When you get ready to do yours, your whole tower can be "fished" with all wires hidden except were the come out to the speakers.

I have a full interior system with the Clarion Head and Kicker components with six speakers and a booming woofer.

My budjet right now will not stretch enough with a masters graduation and a possible hospital stay to go with WetSounds unless tax return is good.

A couple of questions
1) What is the diameter of the E series tower?
2) What are the next speaker series below wet sounds . My hearing sucks at my age.
3) I still may go P60's installed for $1067, Don't have time or boat to do it myself.

Hey, check out the Wetsounds cans from Monster Tower. They're less expensive than the Pro 60's. They are essentially the XS-650's in the Monster Tower bullet can. The E series tower is the same diameter as the Monster Tower. BTW, you can do the install yourself in a couple of hours. Wiring the tower is easier than it looks.

Hey, check out the Wetsounds cans from Monster Tower. They're less expensive than the Pro 60's. They are essentially the XS-650's in the Monster Tower bullet can. The E series tower is the same diameter as the Monster Tower. BTW, you can do the install yourself in a couple of hours. Wiring the tower is easier than it looks.

I'll take a look at the Monster Tower Can. Then I only have 2 issues. Finding the time to run 4 wires and having the boat at home

Actually, you only need to run 2 sets of wires. You can wire your cans in parallel. Not only will you get more power, your amp will run more efficiently at 2 Ohms per channel rather than 4. That's how I have mine set up. You'll need a 2 channel amp or only use 2 channels of a 4 channel amp. Most amps today are stable at 2 Ohms, but you probably want to check your amp model with philsailz (he knows Kicker inside and out).

You will need to add an amp for them as well. Choose speakers first, then we can help with the proper amp.

Yup, that's what i have. They have nice cans

Seriously, they were only $113 for the pair if you buy them direct from the DIY site versus anywhere else. The only problem with the DIY cans is that they are 8" diameter yet sized for 6.5" speakers so you have to be creative with the install or you have material showing around the grills. I just smoothed the face and painted them a nice candy red and called it a day.

And also remember they are sans clamps (I didn't use any) but even then i think they are about $20, great price.

If yours was a foctory install, it will have a 4 chnl amp (5 chnl if you have a sub, but still only 4 chnls for speakers and 1 for sub) and all for should have been used , if it was a dealer install, they should still have used a 4chnl amp and used all 4 chnls Better sound and less stress on amp.

Pics of the amps, where speakers hook up, would be great.

Would post pics if I could get to boat. It's in winter storage waiting to be put on my custom low boy trailer but at best I won't be able to get to it until next Friday unless trailer gets to dealer sooner. I may have trailer company bring trailer to local boat show (no Tige) and haul it the 50 miles to my dealer myself so I can get this moving
